Lots of new players who need to adjust to each other and Slot seems to be wanting to play a 4231. Quite clear we're a few players short, but lots of positives and some things to work on too.
August 10Aug 10 Saw some of the game Liverpool have good attacking players but are very beatable. Last season Liverpool were tough to beat
August 10Aug 10 If he very surprised if we won the league again but disappointed if they aren’t top 3/4!

But there's a lot of hyperbole, including we look very beatable, when we didn't get beat
August 10Aug 10 Plenty said the same last season when we had two defeats and won the league. As you say I can absolutely see a season of bedding players in but still expect a decent campaign, esp if we get Isak. That’s the thing at the start of a season after winning the league everyone thinks your imperial or something and any defeat as things unravelling when everyone starts at 0 points again so it’s all to play for!

But we're changing formations & evolving the team, it's going to take a little bit of time. The game today showed me we have a great XI, but it's going to take players time to get up to the level Wirtz is at with his speed of movement, touch and passing.Exactly like you say, all teams lose games (although we didn't lose) and people go crazy.
August 10Aug 10 It feels like the league is the most unpredictable it's been in years and it's hard to call who will win it. Hopefully no one will run away with it this time and the team at the top will take an abnormal amount of L's this season.
August 12Aug 12 Don't think they would win it myself! Way too many new players to have to hit the ground running all at once.
August 12Aug 12 Author Liverpool are interested in Parma's teenage centre-back Giovanni Leoni. Parma could be open to selling the 18-year-old for around £26m (€30m) plus bonuses.Interest in Leoni is not expected to affect Liverpool's potential pursuit of Marc Guehi. The Reds need more experience at centre-back and Ibrahima Konate is entering the final year of his deal

August 12Aug 12 Guehi would be excellent, excited about this one as it means we can progress the ball which is a weakness from the back at times.Agree with Dobbo about a lot of changes at once. I feel this year we might be better set up for a proper run at the CL. Also, our first 3 fixtures while tough also are fairly kind and good times to play so we’ll see. My big thing at the moment is we’re unbalanced at the moment.
August 12Aug 12 Yeh happy with the experience Guehi would bring as it looks like Konate will move on next summer.
Monday at 17:395 days Author Liverpool winger Ben Doak has agreed a five-year deal with Bournemouth. The 19-year-old has completed a medical with the club today. The paperwork on his £25m move is being finalised.
