I'm not too sure about that, whilst admittedly I'm bias, I think the big difference between Man Utd and Liverpool is we have been truly shit before in recent times and the footballing struture behind us is much more solid. The investment in Isak and Wirtz in the summer was preparing for a Salah less season and for how shit we have been this season, we're in the QF of the Champions League, QF of FA Cup and in with a chance of Champions League football.

Our big problem is the players are just not fit enough and that's not something that can be solved mid-season unless we just run. Teams outfight us as we don't have it in us physically, we've also not adapted very well to teams wanting to play for set pieces. I'm not sure Slot will be here in the summer, but if he does not, in all likelihood we will get Alonso who plays a very simialr style. I think a big part of our issues this season is Slot has a case of the Amorim in him - too stubborn to change things that aren't working. You can watch our games and it's easy as pie to see why we struggle - the gaps structurally are too big and too many players lose duels/make errors.

Andy Robertson will leave Liverpool at the end of the season when his contract expires in the summer, the club has announced.

Robertson, 32, joined the Reds from Hull City in 2017 for £8m and has won two Premier League titles and the Champions League during his time on Merseyside.

In a video announcing his decision, the Scotland captain said: "I think now's the time for me to move on".

The defender added: "The nine years I'll look back on with a big smile on my face."

It feels like the Liverpool squad of the late 2010's and early 2020's are bit by bit diminishing now. Probably Van Dijk will be the next to go.

It is 2026 now lol so youd think that would have eventually happened.

Bit like Salah, we've had Robertson's best days. Think he can still a job, but he is also a massive liability at times. His legs have gone but his experience and technique is still fantastic. I'd have liked to have kept him for another year or two, but the owners will have been burned by the Salah contract and I'm not sure how much longer he has left at the top if I am honest.

Robertson would he really go to Spurs

They've lost 12 matches just like Leeds who are in 14th place! Very poor title defence. They gave up the gold lion sleeve badge on their shirt without a fight this season.

It just shows how bonkers football is.

Problem is our owners and club is thinking 3-5 years in advance, whereas I think a lot of other clubs go in to 6-12 month thinking. There are lots of things we have got horrendously wrong this year and something is seriously wrong behind the scenes.

Wasn't the "heavy meatal" style of football what Liverpool played when Jurgen Klopp was their manager? funny how Salah didn't say this last season when they were winning the Premier League with Arne Slot as the manager.

We played a much different brand of football last year, changing around March 2025. I couldn't even tell you what type of football we play now.

Ibrahima Konate is set to leave Liverpool after five years at Anfield.

The 27-year-old had been in talks with the club about extending his contract but could not find common ground when it came to signing a new deal and is now set to walk away for free.

Every time I've seen Liverpool play Konate tends to make defensive errors that lead to goals for the opposition so maybe Liverpool are better off without him.

Yeh he makes lots of mistakes so I’m not too gutted but it’s another player in their prime theyve allowed to get to this point. I also think his father passed away this season so I gave him a by ball due to that upheaval.

That's very a Chelsea under Abramovich-esque decision! He was a victim of his own success given his first season, anything less than another title would suddenly be considered a failure. Thought FSG would stick by him too.

Could be a good decision but not sure Iraola is the answer.

Still quite late in the month as the new coach won’t see his player until mid July. Might make the rumours of Enrique true but more likely Iraola albeit the latter doesn’t have his family living In England.
