I’m also looking forward to hearing the follow up. Space man was a great tune and reminds me of something Freddie Mercury would have done!

Sounds cheesy to me, but so did As It Was and ANYTHING by Cheesy Fad, but those all get streamed a lot anyway.

He is great on social media  He understands it and how to promote. Now to see if he will become an Abba, or a Jessica Garlick/ Gina G.

It's very catchy, feels quite late 00s to me. Very hard to tell how his career trajectory will go now but I'd love to see him score another hit.
A second hit would be wonderful for Sam after the amazing success of Space man.
It feels a little too safe perhaps, it’s good but he’s definitely had better material pre Space Man (More being a prime example). It’s nice that they seem to be putting a bit of a push behind him though and Spotify/Radio seem to be on board too so hopefully it’s a hit.

I kind of wish ‘More’ or even ‘Tiny Riot’ weren’t already released as I think they were wasted released when they were and would of been the perfect follow ups to ‘Space Man’. Although I do like ‘Someone’ I’m not sure its the right song to keep the momentum going.
Tune of the Weekend on Radio 1 and B List at Radio 2 is a great start

Love that the BBC are finally getting behind a UK ESC act - this is how we’ll attract great songwriters and performers in the future.

Nowhere to be seen today. Hopefully just a delayed appearance to come if it's getting weekend radio support too but you'd think track 2 on New Music Friday would secure it an appearance in the top 200 today!
Somebody is very different to Space man and is very radio appealing but may not be as easy to remember as Space man.
