I will be starting my 'Platinum Collection' rate very soon, with 39 songs on the tracklist, I simply want to round the number off to 40. So i'm giving you guys 3 options of what should be included. I Know Him So Well or Light Up The World or Wasted Tears.

'I Know Him So Well' was included on their swan song single 'Words Are Not Enough', due to a contract agreement that all their later releases had to have a PWL produced song on all their releases. 'Light Up The World' was their X-Mas album released from 2012, these 2 are the only singles not included on the 'Platinum Collection' album (not hard to see why, especially the latter) & finally 'Wasted Tears' which is only included on the Claire version of the hits album & I picked that particular one due to it not only being a fan fave, but also make up for the lack of 'WTFHPT2' tracks on the album.

So rules are simple which would be better suited to the rate, just pick your fave & the one with the most votes will be included on the upcoming rate this Monday 22nd August.

I don't think Light Up the World should be included at all. With this being a Platinum Collection rate, it makes sense to stick to the tracks included on it.

 

I do feel that it's a little arbitrary to only use one song from the solo CDs. Personally I'd just stick to the 39 songs that they chose to include on the main album, as much as I like Wasted Tears. Though if the majority want it to be included, then that's ok.

 

 

I hope when people rate, they'll take into account that some of the songs included are not album versions. In particular Baby Don't Dance & A Hundred Years of Winter which are remixes. This is particularly notable regarding A Hundred Years of Winter because it transforms a ballad into a dancier track. It would kind of annoy me if people rate it purely based on the album version when that version is not actually a part of Platinum Collection. So I hope that the eventual list for the rate will include which mixes they are. Something to bear in mind! :cool:

53 is a lot, but it’d be a fun rate. I’m happy for that if the majority are.

That's fair enough! It seems that many are keen for Wasted Tears to be included and I don't mind it being included, out of all the songs on the solo CDs it's the one I would have liked to have main track list treatment anyway.
