Ugh #11 again, but only 89 copies behind #10. Cruel. :( At least with Heavy Love it was a few hundred sales behind the Top 10. Her Greatest Hits was just 9 copies ahead of #12, so we can certainly say the download versions pushed her up to be able to get #11.

Just the worst position to land at though. A bit more luck with these two albums and she’d have 5 Top 10 albums to her name. I wonder if Elbow Beach would have been in the Top 10 midweeks too before ending up at #12?

Oh well one thing we can say is Louise has been consistent. 6 major album releases and never lower than #12:

#7 - Naked

#5 - Woman in Me

#12 - Elbow Beach

#9 - Changing Faces: The Best of Louise

#11 - Heavy Love

#11 - Greatest Hits

Greatest Hits is #3 in the download chart, #4 in the sales chart, #5 in the physical chart, #9 in the vinyl chart.

Argh, that is super unfortunate. She couldn't have done very much more to get top 10, but it sucks to be SO close and miss. I did buy it three times myself, with the two downloads and the CD.
Oh well. It'll fall out next week, but hopefully it can garner some "sales" via streaming over time, even if it's just a few hundred copies here and there.

Louise and Kylie both so near yet so far from the Top 10 today :drama:

Louise really couldn’t have done more - album signings, album launch show, Banquet personally signed etc., - she got herself out there to sell it, frustrating it was that close!

Very close for Louise and a huge shame she didnt make the top 10, unfortunatly its more disappointing news as the album hasnt charted in the Top 100 here in Ireland :(

That's a shame but at least it's a 6th consecutive top FIFTEEN release for her Jay! :D

Omg indeed, this!! Queen of Top 15s :cheeseblock:

2Faced sounds like such a Denniz Pop/Max Martin production circa Robyn tbh.
Radio 2 yesterday played both of Louise’s hits with Eternal; Just a Step from Heaven and So Good. I do wish that her Eternal hits were included on the album and I’m on about the Eternal versions, not her solo versions

None of her albums have ever charted here which is even more surprising.

Why would she include the Eternal versions when this is a solo greatest hits?! That's like Robbie Williams including 'Pray' and 'Relight My Fire' on his greatest hits

She actually did include 3 Eternal singles on her 2001 Best Of. :kink:
Oh, well I stand corrected then! I guess at that point, she didn't really have enough solo stuff of her own to fill a GH. They would definitely have looked out of place on this one though.

Looks like the Shepherd's Bush gig might've been professionally filmed (though that camera angle makes me wonder if this isn't just a cut together from fancam footage, but we'll see in two hours lol)

I saw her yesterday at Flackstock, the festival in memory of Caroline Flack that's now in its second year. The performance of "Together Again" was such a special one, thought I'd share it here:

She also did "Super Magic" and "Stay":

An Eternal reunion as a 4 piece was on the cards, but it's not happening anymore, because...

EXCLUSIVE: Louise Redknapp rejects Eternal reunion after gay row involving ex-bandmates https://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrity-news...eunion-31011668

Louise Redknapp and Kelle Bryan pulled out immediately of a huge tour next year when their bandmates Easther and Vernie Bennett refused to play at LGBT festivals such as Pride

Louise Redknapp has pulled out of an Eternal reunion - after a row over the group's appearances at LGBT festivals such as Pride.

We can reveal the Nineties R&B group had reformed for a huge tour next year - but trouble hit when bandmates Easther and Vernie Bennett refused to play the festivals, objecting to their allegiance with the trans community. Louise, alongside bandmate Kelle Bryan, were left stunned and pulled out immediately in June, leaving the sisters to tour together as Eternal.

It would have been the first time the band had performed in their original line-up since Louise quit for solo stardom in 1995. A source said: “Louise, Kelle, Easther and Vernie had all signed up to perform a huge nationwide tour next year, culminating with a huge show at pop festival Mighty Hoopla, which is loved by the gay community.

“Then in June the girls received an email from Easther and Vernie who refused to play any gay festivals or Pride. They said they can’t support the LGBTQ community now it has an alliance with the trans community, a stance Vernie in particular has been public about on socials.

“Louise and Kelle were stunned and pulled out immediately - Louise's fan base is 98 percent gay men. She and Kelle believe everyone is welcome to their shows. It’s a real shame for their fans who have been waiting such a long time for this moment.”

:( That's really disappointing from the sisters. I would have said "assuming that this is true", but unfortunately it seems to be - Vernie's likes on Twitter are very illuminating: https://forum.popjustice.com/threads/eterna...24#post-9052563

Sigh! Good on Louise and Kelle though.

According to an insider on Popjustice, "so much stuff was coming - reissues, tours etc and a big Mighty Hoopla headline". Also "Lou walked out of the meeting the second [these issues] came up. An ally!"

Nevertheless, their debut album 'Always and Forever' is being reissued on vinyl for the first time in 30 years, as part of National Album Day.

Although a reunion appears to not be happening anymore, Louise still celebrated the 30th anniversary of Stay on her socials, and mentioned Easther and Vernie, so maybe it's a case of them having different views and not working together, but not totally cutting them out.

I've been intrigued for years at the thought of a 4 piece Eternal reunion. What a shame! It's really strange considering that Easther and Vernie must been around lots of gay people during their time in the band, and they even did a G-A-Y appearance in 2014, so... what changed?

Given their past behaviour (treatment of Kelle) it doesn’t come too much as a surprise that they’re both TERFs. Disappointing.
