Onviously i’m annoyed at the lack of lead single but i can see their aiming for the ‘red’ release.

Obviously it will work as people eat up TS music but I think they need to remember ‘Red’ did equally well as we already knew the album

I'm hoping for a single next Friday tbh

thats how you engage the GP, otherwise the GP won't pre-order

I feel like it won’t have enough hype in the U.K. with the general public without a lead single - I think it’s needed.
tbf, folklore & evermore did extremely well and they were announced hours before, midnights has had months, so many variants, signed inserts. plus theres been anticipation with the whole not knowing track names, and then midnight mayhem, so i think it has enough hype. if she releases the single next friday, i think that'll be the best option so fingers crossed

I agree it’s got some hype. But I’m thinking more in terms of generating the hype needed with the general public to get it to number one over the arctic monkeys.

A lead single next Friday would definitely be the best option.

Jade Green vinyl is back in stock on the UK store - I just managed to get one! ^_^

there might be buzz within the fanbase but not within the GP, she needs a single out for that

like i said, i think their applying the 'red' era roll out where there was no lead single and managed to get a huge hit out of a 10 minute song
A 10 minute version of a song that was already a HUGE fan favourite...

I'm just bored of artists doing this and then the campaign being over within 3 months... Wet our appetites! Give us a single/a taste of the album and push more singles.

Yeah I agree with Jonjo, I'm bored of album drops and then the era being over as soon as it had begun.

I'm still excited for new music from her but would it really hurt to have a video/single out a couple of weeks before the album, which would only add to hype anyway?

but the point was only fans are hyped for this release ?

a fan fave became the single for her previous release... neither of these would evidentally catch the attention of the GP?

Graham Norton on the 28th! Glad to see some promo!

And yep I also wished we had a single out rn, obvs I’m still majorly hyped for the album cos it’s Taylor but the era feels so dead rn 😭

thats gotta be her first bit of promo in years surely? Did she even promote Lover?

Yeah Lover had a lot of promotion! (Tho that was the last era she promoted a lot). She did Graham Norton that era as well (tho it was performing Me! so no wonder why none of us want to remember it x). She also did strictly and a couple other UK bits + most of the big US award shows & SNL

That’s great news that she’s going on Graham Norton. Hope it’s the first of many promos ;)

I don’t think we can compare this release with Red TV. It was already a huge album and a re-release.

I’m guessing if there was going to be a single drop we’d already know about it?

I miss the days of the album buildup with single releases, videos etc

Yeah, I'm not holding out much hope for a single now... but who knows, she could surprise us on Friday

I really hope all these variants mean she can debut in the US with 1m again and be the first since Reputation. Folklore was only 150k away with no pre orders.. if she released a strong lead single I think she definitely would have managed it but if she does it now it may be too late..
