Voting is now closed so let's talk a rundown of the honourable top 10 hits of this year.

#10 – 49 – Red Hot Chili Peppers – Snow (Hey Oh)

50-{16}-21-31-40-46-41-45-46-59-73-68R(3)-72->13

Following them matching their highest peak of #2 with Dani California, they had two #16 hits - the second of these which is more remembered than Dani California these days starts off the top 10. Tell Me Baby only scored 19 points.

#09 – 56 – Keane – Nothing In My Way

{19}-53-69R(2)->3

A fleeting top 20 hit for Keane, however it did outperform their other minor top 20 hit Crystal Ball which scored 39 points. The two songs followed from their joint-highest peaking song Is It Any Wonder which made it to #3. This song has actually outperformed it in terms of streams on Spotify though.

#08 – 57 – Goldfrapp – Ride A White Horse

{15}-35-49->3

Following two top 10 hits this could only end up as a minor top 20 hit for Goldfrapp but seems fairly well remembered by you lot anyhow.

Nice that Keane made it into the top ten (although I'm one of the few on here that prefer Crystal Ball out of the two)! Snow (Hey Oh) was very close to making it into my votes too.

#07 – 65 – Sean Paul – Temperature

53-{11}-13-13-18-22-24-31-38-41-49-64->12

Considered one of Sean Paul's signature hits however it bafflingly missed the top 10. It was the first of 4 #11 hits for Sean Paul although he did have his fair share of top 10 hits.

#06 – 67 – Christina Aguilera – Hurt

33-{11}-11-16-26-33-44-38-53-60-65-67R(2)-39R(43)-25R(99)-64->15

Probably the song most think of when asked to name a Christina ballad besides Beautiful, it followed on from #2 hit Ain't No Other Man. I was expecting this to end up winning but it seems not so many Pop fans voted in this.

#05 – 67 – Feeling – Love It When You Call

43-{18}-22-32-37-41-31-23-33-41-48-54-48-53-54-62-64-58R(17)->18

Darlings of Radio 2 in the mid 00s The Feeling had this as their 4th hit following three top 10s, however despite the low peak it had a lengthy run and surprisingly appears to be fondly remembered by Buzzjackers.

#04 – 74 – Justice vs Simian – We Are Your Friends

{20}-30-34-39-47-56-72-69-65-73->10

This is more like it, the first of two big dance tracks in the top 5 we have French duo Justice. Its music video won an MTV award which during the ceremony was rudely interrupted by Kanye West. It also inspired the title of a Zac Efron film.

#03 – 77 – Supermode – Tell Me Why

36-{13}-18-20-26-36-37-50-58->9

The only song released by Swedish duo Supermode, although members Steve Angello & Axwell did go on to form two thirds of Swedish House Mafia. It remains one of the big dance classics of the 00s which makes it more baffling that it missed the top 10 over some of the dance that did end up making it but has been more forgotten about. This year it was even remixed by Meduza. The song itself of course takes its inspiration from Bronski Beat 'Smalltown Boy'. A shame this couldn't win really however the top 2 did beat this considerably.

#02 – 110 – Muse – Starlight

38-{13}-19-22-32-30-33-45-63-71-63-61-68-73-73->15

A song that remains one of Muse's most remembered hits, having followed on from their highest peaking song Supermassive Black Hole which made it to #4 it unfortunately couldn't give them another top 10 hit although its follow up Knights Of Cydonia did scrape in at #10. It would've been great to see Muse reach #1 here especially with a points total so high but they was unlucky enough there was an even more dominant song here..

#01 – 132 – Snow Patrol feat. Martha Wainwright – Set The Fire To The Third Bar

37-{18}-24-27-34-35-43-45-59-72-65R(149)-56-46R(19)-36-52->15

It is then congrats to Snow Patrol who gain the title of Honorary Top 10 hit for 2006, almost matching the points total No Doubt scored in 2003 (135p). The song had the tough feat of following up the most overplayed song of all time Chasing Cars which spent an eternity in the chart but managed to scrape a top 20 position regardless and clearly built up a big fanbase since - a very top heavy set of points with 5 +12s and 4 +10s accounting for most of its total.

Was hoping Starlight could win it but top two is still an excellent result for it! :wub:

Nice to see Love It When You Call making it into the top five, definitely my favourite of The Feeling's songs. Surprised but pleased that Boy Kill Boy managed to get a decent points total too (although I prefer Back Again out of their two top 40 hits), didn't think they'd be that well remembered!

Excellent results - my top 6 all made the top 10, and the top 6 here all got my vote. I was hoping for Muse to win but can't complain, that Snow Patrol song has aged well.
Can't argue with Snow Patrol coming in at the top of the vote here. Brilliant song that and Muse also one of their best for me. Elsewhere Christina, The Feeling and RHCP making the top 10 is great to see too. Did expect the former a bit higher ngl. The Keane and Supermode songs are good too.
