Sam Smith & Kim Petras' viral hit Unholy challenges David Guetta/Bebe Rexha for the singles #1, with a high entry expected for Stormzy's comeback Mel Made Me Do It. There's new releases from Lil Nas X, The 1975, Jamie xx, FLO, Yung Gravy and Kid Cudi

5 Seconds of Summer might score their third #1 album with 5SOS5, they face competition from D-Block Europe with Lap 5, Editors with EBM and Sports Team with GULP!. Other new releases include Vieux Farka Touré/Khruangbin, Mark Owen, Kelsea Ballerini, Beth Orton, The Comet Is Coming, Courting, Kid Kapichi, Alex G and Weezer

Breakdown of the week

- Saturday: Some information may be posted on social media but it is likely to be missing most streaming data and is unrepresentative.

- Sunday: Official First Look Chart on Radio 1 from 6-7pm. Please do not post spoilers on the forum in advance as this ruins the countdown for any listeners.

- Monday: OCC Top 100 from 5:45pm

- Tuesday: Top 40 update as and when we receive them with requests, this is NOT 100% guaranteed however. The OCC may publish sales flashes of their own accord but likewise, this is not guaranteed. Twitter and social media is your friend for today. Please post any information you find with a source. Do not nag for updates, we will post a top 40 update if we receive one.

- Wednesday: Top 40 update from Music Week from 5:45, and potential top 5 sales but this is not guaranteed.

- Thursday: See Tuesday.

Other notes (please read)

- You may make requests Tuesday to Thursday but outside the top 40, specific positions will not be revealed (unless deemed necessary by a mod).

- Please do not demand a midweek update, one will be posted as and when we receive the information. Patience is a virtue.

- Sales information will be given out as deemed necessary by a moderator, please bear this in mind when making requests. Most requests for sales will be ignored. Any chart requests between No. 41 to 100 will not be answered after Monday's update.

- To keep everyone in the loop of all chart action, please refer to the iTunes and Spotify threads.

Rooting for Mark Owen to get his highest charting solo album to date! Top ten would be lovely.

I'm hoping for the same and it also helps that the album is really good.

So were his first three albums but that didn't help their chart position much

Hopefully he will - I mean he only has to beat #29 so really hope he can manage that with the signings, pre/orders/bundles and personalised albums

His finest album ‘How The Mighty Fall’ missed the Top 100 :drama:

His finest album ‘How The Mighty Fall’ missed the Top 100 :drama:

Yeah, it's a travesty that missed the top 100. I think its title was a bad omen!

It is shocking How The Mighty Fall missed the Top 100 but his highest peak on the album chart has to come now.
Are we really getting the whole 7 minutes of this

look on the bright side we wont have to hear it later!

Not a fan obviously.
I rarely care for 7 minutes of any song and this is too samey throughout so it's a bit of a drag, I don't hate it though and as a 3 minute song I'd probably find it perfectly fine. Definitely not really made to be a commercial hit anyway and more to make points so well played on that front.
