November 7, 20222 yr WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE?! I didn't watch pos Hancock on yhr nees. No chance you'll find me ACTIVELY TUNING IN to watch a Tory!!!
November 7, 20222 yr I turned off after 45 minutes, takes forever to get going. Plus Ant & Dec drive me insane.
November 7, 20222 yr I turned off after 45 minutes, takes forever to get going. Plus Ant & Dec drive me insane. The second half was certainly better once the boring heights task was over. But I'm definately going to be watching with half hour in the bank to Fast-forward any breaks
November 7, 20222 yr Author To win 9/4 Jill Scott 11/4 Mike Tindall 5/1 Owen Warner 9/1 Boy George 12/1 Babatunde Aleshe 16/1 Chris Moyles 20/1 Sue Cleaver 25/1 Seann Walsh 40/1 Matt Hancock 50/1 Charlene White 50/1 Scarlette Douglas Harsh odds for Charlene and Scarlette  Very early days but I reckon the bookies have got the top 3 (although not necessarily in that order) spot on.

November 9, 20222 yr Please don't vote Matt Hancock to do any trials. It is not 'punishing' him at all. He knows he's going to be voted for everything and that's why he's doing it - he wants the screentime. Even if he screams and cries and pretends he's terrified, this is EXACTLY why he's doing the show. If you want to truly punish him then vote for other people and pretend he doesn't exist. I cannot believe ITV are giving him this opportunity and I'm already dreading seeing Ant and Dec joking around with him. Although I guess they're probably Tory's anyway.

Honestly, I have seen SO many people saying 'can't wait to watch and vote for Matt Hancock to punish him, I PROMISE you spending YOUR money to get him to eat a few insects isn't punishing him lmao. If you really want to punish him, just don't watch this absolute borefest Tory shitshow. I fail to see how it's entertaining anymore to anyone but that's just my opinion I guess.

I don't disagree with your point, but app voting (+ voting for all the trials) is free!
November 9, 20222 yr I don't disagree with your point, but app voting (+ voting for all the trials) is free! Oh I didn't realise that! Still think he won't care at all and won't punish him at all really.
November 9, 20222 yr I'm refusing to watch this year because I think it's appalling that ITV have allowed Matt Hancock on. He's famous for letting down UK families at a time when they needed clear and good leadership, that does not make him a celebrity and he shouldn't be being given the platform to try and further any sort of celebrity style career. Whilst I am refusing to watch, it's not that much of a wrench to not watch it anyway tbh! :D

It's the same every year when there's someone 'controversial' in the cast. All the Facebook Mums comment like mad and say they can't wait to see X suffer and I always wanna scream. The trials are guaranteed screen time and the main reason anyone watches the show. By giving someone trials every single night you are therefore making them a main character and giving them a better chance of winning the show, more media coverage and more chances of 'winning people over'. It actually punishes everyone else because none of the other cast get a chance to do any trials and they end up voted out early because they've had no screen time.
November 9, 20222 yr I personally think it’s so gross to frame the guy who was in charge of the complete and utter disaster that led to so many covid deaths as some comedy figure and pay him 400k to be on the biggest show on TV, obviously ITV are more at fault for paying him and booking him, and of course it will work because even without him people watch this crap in their droves. He wants the attention and screen time, and plus I’ve seen he has trench foot from doing that Celebrity SAS show not long before so he will be ruled out of some trials! So basically he’s getting paid well over 4x his salary to go camping, do a few challenges and get attention I think this is the most boring rubbish on TV personally so maybe it’s just lost on me, each to their own but I really find it leaves a bad taste in my mouth for someone like him to be given a celebrity type platform.
November 9, 20222 yr I don't agree that he should have been given the chance to appear on a show like this. His incompetence as health secretary and MP is still a recent memory for people, especially those who lost people during the pandemic. He doesn't deserve the chance to appear happy and friendly on a show like this. The producers have clearly jumped at the chance to take the piss out of him (can't blame them) but for him, this is clearly a chance to change how he's perceived and to show a human side to him. Why should he get the chance when he didn't care about the public during the pandemic? When he's abandoned his job as MP for this show? However, he's there, and there's little I can do about it. I'll watch with an open mind for the duration of the show (as I do with any celebrity on there, or any other adjacent show) and allow my own opinion to be formed on him as a campmate. Liking him on here doesn't mean liking him in the real world, after all. I've been finding him quite funny with Seann so far (they're the most ridiculous pairing I've seen on a show like this and their camaraderie is genuinely funny). Doesn't change my view on him as an MP (or all round person), but for an hour a night, he's on a show that I really enjoy whether I want him there or not. I also like that, so far, they've shown the genuine reactions from the campmates. Disdain from Babatundé, Charlene, Chris and others. Not quite the "Tory" show it's made out to be regardless of his casting...!
November 9, 20222 yr Hancock has not gone down well in camp. Yeah, it’ll be interesting to see if it kicks off in the upcoming days.
November 10, 20222 yr Surely some of the camp mates are aware that it’s cool to dislike the tories with the general public(even though many English people vote for them each election) so that effects their reaction?
November 10, 20222 yr https://www.capitalfm.com/news/im-a-celebri...ntestants-paid/ Boy George - £500,000 Matt Hancock - £400,000 Mike Tindall - £265,000 Chris Moyles - £200,000 Seann Walsh - £130,000 Olivia Attwood - £125,000 Sue Cleaver - £115,000 Jill Scott - £100,000 Charlene White - £75,000 Scarlette Douglas - £65,000 Babatunde Aleshe - £65,000 Owen Warner - £60,000
November 10, 20222 yr Hancocks arrival has really throwwn the camp but i think its really going to shake things up but how good or bad is hard to know, i really enjoyed Matt and Seans scences, they are such opposite characters but they were entertaining at the same time. I really dont like Boy George, he has come accross as very catty since the beginning.
