Some of those would have improved things for me…. But I can’t get behind a decision to not include

Frozen, Music, Papa Don’t Preach, Like a Virgin and Express Yourself as proper songs. There’s others like Borderline, Deeper and Deeper, Power of Goodbye, Sorry, Rescue Me, Ghosttown etc that I’m disappointed not to see but always thought they would be 50/50 shots, where as the first five are absolute KEY points of her career.

Also, the setlist kinda dwindles out for me. Only 2 of the final 8 songs are essentials imo, albeit the closing track is fair enough under the circumstance

I feel like this would have been much more impactful using a similar "theme" and same amount of tracks:

The Celebration

1. Music

2. Into the groove

3. Open your heart

4. Holiday

5. Celebration

The Storm

6. Nothing really matters

7. Live to tell

8. Frozen

The ritual

9. Like a prayer

10. Cherish

The Sacrifice

11. Justify my love

12. Deeper and deeper

13. Human nature

14. Give it to me

15. Beautiful stranger

The Ballroom

16. Vogue

17. Hung up

18. Girl gone wild

19. Express yourself

The beast within

20. American life

21. Papa don’t preach

22. Material world

23. Hollywood

24. Don’t tell me

The icon

25. Ray of light

26. True blue

27. Drowned world / My substitute for love

28. Like a virgin

(Although I do love the original opener idea tbf)

im giving it 7/10

the separate platforms and stage was just dividing the crowd

the ending was very underwhelming

bob did not add anything

Rain Bad Girl was amazing

LTT made me cry !!

There were always going to be big omissions - she has 40 years of hits!

Some of the choices seem odd on paper but make sense in the context of the show. The main one is Mother and Father in that respect because a lot of the show was about the importance of being a parent.

I'd have of COURSE loved my favourite Madonna song Frozen (it may still feature on later dates) but I am also glad it wasn't just big hit after big hit and some lesser performed tracks were included instead like Nothing Really Matters.

Yeah but the first ones in my spoilers are HUGE omissions given it was billed as a greatest hits affair. Even more so given some of the things that are included. I suspect some of the people I know who are going, but aren't die hard fans, will be disappointed.

Happy you enjoyed it though, it's certainly not every day that you can say you went to an opening night! *.*

Sadly I didn’t get to see the end segment of the show (Rain was the final song tonight due to curfew).

The show is amazing though. Really strong imagery, storytelling and a great setlist too (definitely a great setlist for someone like me who’s probably a “stan” and knows her catalogue well) the average fan may want more bigger hits and not some album tracks / less huge hits that were on there. But it does cover her whole career and each era of that.

Would’ve been amazing to see the end but I’m really glad that a lot of my personal favourites made it in and were performed early enough in the show to not get cut.

It’s definitely an experience. I would absolutely see her again now (but maybe in another European country where the curfew isn’t so strict.

She really is THE ultimate female in music though! What an experience it was to finally see her. I can’t fault the show itself she’s a genius in that department. Have to also say her vocals are so good on this tour! She’s really been working hard on those vocals (I mean this is my first time seeing her live) but I don’t think her voice has sounded this strong since the Confessions Tour!

Apparently there was more issues, this time with cameras or something, that made it start late.

Doesn’t seem from the setlist of night two that you missed anything being performed Bal with the glitch on opening night

Was she late on then if she went past curfew?

She came on at 9-ish last night and ran until exactly 11 and that’s when it stopped. It did seem really abrupt and I don’t think she herself was expecting it as I think she’d have probably cut parts of other segments and do the finale if she knew but it was still a real experience. I do think certain fans (like casual fans who liked 80s Madonna) might’ve wanted to hear more of her hits from that era but the mega fans will have loved it. However like Haus said even if Madonna purely just did greatest hits there’d never be enough time to fill in everything as she’s had more hits than anyone in history so there was always going to be something major not there.

I just wish I seen the whole show  BUT looking at the set list I’m not too mad about what I didn’t get to hear (had Like a prayer been towards the encore and that been cut I’d have been devastated ). A really good show though! Definitely debating actually taking the plunge and going overseas for my next tour though.

And this is disappointing… tech glitches are understandable, but poor timekeeping again (if it is that) shows a real lack of respect for the fans/audiences time and lives. It’s never been acceptable, and the curfew is a good thing - and it means people can catch last trains home.

If I’d paid huge ££ and the show was cut, I’d be gutted.

Apparently she started at 9:06 and was supposed to be on at 8:30 according to someone I know who went, it blows my mind how she gets away with this and really shows the attitude she has towards her fans.

Sundays at the 02 has an earlier curfew time. She went on until 11, they gave her 30 minutes extra.

There was an tech issue, (something about a camera), this is why she was late.

Just scares me that in venue's with no curfew, how late will she want to start!

It’s non-stop, she does it continually and it really shows a ‘couldnt give a f**k’ mindset to people that have paid hundreds and hundreds to see her, and she missed off the final 3 songs at the 02!
