Love that a 2024 Kylie release has achieved that - in the streaming era I never thought we’d see that in the UK or US.

It was definitely something I'll never forget/never quite believe was actually real!

How is everyone finding this online eurgh I’m missing out it seems haha
Thank you!

On first listen I really wasn't sure what to think of it but I'm sold after listen #2. It's far less 'showy' than you expect a Kylie lead single to be but it's deceptively catchy, I defy you to not have that chorus stuck in your head!

Not saying it sounds like 'Slow' because it really doesn't but that statement that was made ages ago about 'Slow' being the blueprint for the era does make sense after listening to this.

I've always thought a slow style song at a faster pace could work for Kylie. If we mixed the blueprint of slow with tge blueprint of I believe in you would it be on the right track for padam padam???

Well I’ve just heard Padam Padam. Not impressed. I don’t really like it. The lyrics and her voice aren’t great. Very disappointed after the amazing disco album.

Well I’ve just heard Padam Padam. Not impressed. It doesn’t sound very credible and step back from disco material.

Depends how you define "credible", they're obviously going for a "cooler" more house sound with it.

I would say a fair chunk of Disco is quite far from being credible sounding either.

Love it, definitely a cooler lead like Slow. Reminds me a little of Sleepwalker …after the underwhelming Oliver Heldens track hearing this is a big relief.

Padam padam sounds like something I would expect from someone half her age. It just isn’t really her. Feels very much like trying to get on the band wagon to fit with a more modern sound but at the expense of poor lyrics and over production. I didn’t think 10 out of 10 was great but this is quite possibly the worst thing she has done in a long time.

I think it sounds up to date and modern rather than it being suited for someone younger - you can be older and still have a modern sounding song

I am not listening.

I won't cave in

I am staying Smiley though.

I like dance, club, beats Kylie.

Will I like it?? :music:

Exactly, plus it's got her cheeky personality stamped all over it so I wouldn't say it doesn't sound like her.

It's almost as if you're suggesting now she's a woman in her mid-50s she should be expected to wear dowdy boiler suits all the time and regimentally stick to making what can be deemed as "age appropriate" music without having any fun with it.

If this does not have some kind of chart success, I will be so disappointed. It is so fresh and modern !

This - even with a Thursday release I’m expecting something for this, I don’t want to get carried away as singles success will be hard to come by but will be shocked if it doesn’t manage at the very minimum a few weeks Top 100.

I’m so scared at the title  gonna wait for the official release to listen. It’s a shame it leaked though.
I’m so scared at the title

Don’t be  I feel like everyone is going to be singing those words after hearing it
