The part where she said unlike my last 2 albums this album doesnt have a theme, sometimes that worries me a little as X in my opinion is an example of a Kylie album without a theme and ended up having too many different sounds on it that didnt always tie together. Leaving that to one side, i am still excited to hear all the new material, electric dance and Kylie is a sound i am vert interested in.

I'm actually relieved that this era isn't themed! I had nothing against Golden or Disco for that, don't get me wrong, but I think it would start to become gimmicky if every album went that way. I'm ready for this album to more simply be a collection of songs from a great popstar.

I've read insiders comparing a couple of Tension tracks to particular Kiss Me Once songs. As well as that, two of the recently leaked demo songs (that haven't made the Tension album) were initially mistaken for being from Kiss Me Once era, before insiders informed fans that they're actually from the early Tension sessions. So... I guess we could be in for a Kiss Me Once-esque vibe for some songs... and I'm here for that! I like that Kiss Me Once has songs on it that were outside of Kylie's wheelhouse. Feels So Good, Fine and If Only... if Kylie touches on sounds like this again, I would be pleased.

 

From the little we've seen and heard in the Tension era so far, I do have a feeling this album era is going to see Kylie shift away from the Adult Contemporary area she's found herself in with Golden and Disco (Disco as an album may be bop heavy, however, I feel the presentation of that era - and who she was aiming at with the album - leans more towards the AC crowd - it was still firmly and safely Radio 2 territory).

 

The "all in red" image that Liam posted above, as well as the album cover itself - I feel like we've not seen that side to Kylie in a very long time. I'm excited for this era!
