Love that a 2024 Kylie release has achieved that - in the streaming era I never thought we’d see that in the UK or US.

It was definitely something I'll never forget/never quite believe was actually real!

Annoyingly with these sales it would've been a top ten hit a month ago when the number 10 songs was selling 18,000 units, and now it's struggling to remain top 20 with these numbers.
So much of Kylie’s demographic love a download hence why the majority of the time we fail to get any traction for her singles on streaming -_-

I’m sure Kylie would rather have the income from sales than the thousandths of a penny from streams!

Maybe - not sure what income 5k of downloads generates though.

The money makers has always been her album physicals.

In general though there’s not much a fanbase can do for streaming if the song doesn’t catch on with the public, however with sales it’s much easier to make an impact. You can stream all day all week and it’ll still only contribute 0.7 sales. Thankfully with Padam Padam it’s appeal has extended beyond the fanbase so it is doing well on streaming

I'm trying to appreciate this doing well and looking to increase sales on its 2nd week. In my head her going top 20 might bring further press attention that could help boost her on week 3 if it goes that way.
Hi my huns,

I wonder what the sales difference is between 24 and number 20.

Just Carol Honey ❤️

#20 - 8894

#16 - 9741

#10 - 11651

Hmm it’s quite a way behind Top 20 then, not confident she’s going to be able to make it this week?

8k seems remarkably high for a Tuesday midweek #24, I’m sure in recent times it must have been quite a bit lower than that?

Thank you for sharing!

I really didn’t expect it to fall all the way to 24, but 8k sales for such a position so far is huge. Bank holiday didn’t do any favours either.

Tomorrow’s update on Spotify will be important to see where it ends up landing on Friday.

Kylie fans love a cause. They will continue to download, don't worry and stream more. Plus BMG Will have their next trick for Weds/thurs
Yeah if they think top 20 is achievable I’m sure they’ll have an acoustic or instrumental ready to go, or maybe they’re saving it for the CD single week for maximum impact which I wouldn’t blame them for

I wouldn’t be overly surprise if we don’t get anything extra this week.

They know the Kylie gays will snap up whatever they throw at us (we love a good campaign or chart battle), however they need it to cross over into the mainstream rather than relying on bulk buying from the fans.

I’m sure they have a plan but also know they can’t solely rely on her core fanbase - I think once the CDs drop they’ll react if needed with remix drops etc.,

I wouldn’t release anything this week either. I also hope they don’t release the CDs next week, as I see there’s another bank holiday next Monday?? Or am I wrong? But if yes, the streams will be lower again, so I’d concentrate on week 4.

And looking at the sales data, I’d say Kylie is coming for around 2.5k downloads and 13k streams for the week. 15.5k would have been enough for #20 last week, but this week is even busier, so I’m not sure anymore. Anyway, I really think it will reach its streaming peak later, so I’m not too fussed.

No more bank holidays for us until August 26th (In England at least).
