She's at #12 today, 7,966 sold. 'Trojan Horse' and Rema have moved past her, #10 has 8,270.

The sales are really close. I think it’s far too soon to declare that it’ll never make the Top 10.

Yeah a 2 place drop makes sense, I expected it to be somewhere around 10-12 on the mids with sales being so close.

 

I didnt expect a 5 place drop at all today, so thankfully that didnt happen.

 

I wonder how many cassettes they have.

 

Awww such a shame to hear it would have been number 5 in this weeks update with last weeks CDs.

I think they should hold back the Cassettes until Friday release. I think their is a remix/feature coming on Friday which will be more effective than an extended Mix and do better on streaming etc. A Pride Remix sounds like it will. Plus she will have a performance on ITV 1 and also a concert in USA

 

From 18th June those big daily totals from Spotfiy start to drop off her monthly listeners so they need to release something that will combat that drop

 

If this week she stays top 20 then next week they go for it again. That said I don't know what new releases come out on Friday too

Hopefully we get a full breakdown of sales as well as that will show us what CDs were sold what digitals and what streams etc

 

Would be good to see that sheet with all the sales on from everyone. If anyone sees that on twitter or anywhere can you please post it. I will do the same if I find it huns.

She will no doubt release more CDs maybe 2 with a different remix on each and sell for 2.99 each .

 

I am sure the CD with extended Mix was to just test the waters.

? When the official store said both 2nd June and 9th June, many of us thought that the 9th June would be the more ideal date to go with.

Not on here, but many in other places wanted the CD in week 2 to get it top 20. Lol.

Everybody here said Week 4 would be the best release week for a CD for maximum impact... it is rather frustrating when fans seem to know the better plan than an actual record label, who's job it is to know, doesn't...

 

I get it is helping it have a longer shelf life, but as we have seen it was doing that by itself anyway.

Showing how tough it is even with streaming/Hot Hits support - Sam/Madonna are #47 today. You really need to be firing on all cylinders to get a hit single and one part doesn’t work without the other so I’m just happy she is holding up (and secretly praying the cassette sales will contribute more than we are expecting - hopefully they’ve got an order in for a rush reproduction of them).
