Not Newsbeat covering why Padam Padam isn't being played on some radio stations and Radio 1 snubbing it (Newsbeat does cover 1Xtra and Asian Network too where she wouldn't be played anyway). Radio 1's comment was that the playlist is decided on 'musical merit and whether it's right for their target audience' and mentioned that Shania and Madonna were examples where they are being supporting 90s and 00s artists... (failing to mention they weren't necessarily the lead artist and feature with artists that are relevant to their target audience whereas Kylie is on her own). Oh well, the argument goes on.

I'm just so happy that she did it, what a brilliant amazing outcome, kylie fans really came through for padam padam. This is another historic event in kylies career. As little as 5 weeks ago I really never expected this. Now from here everything is a bonus and I can relax again that's unless at some point it's a shoe in for number 1.

HUGE congratulations to Kylie, who now joins Cher and Diana Ross as the only female artists to achieve top 10 hits in 5 consecutive decades! :wub: I wonder how many acts in total have done it, the list can't be that big surely?
