I guess when the charts come out on Friday, but she is down everyday on Spotify etc so cant see it happening unless the whole market is down which is unlikely

Even if the whole market is down it wont make difference as sales will only be comparative to those of her own,

I don't think avoiding ACR is a huge thing for BMG. Upping her streaming during the single's main release weeks was the aim and they smashed that.

Padam has done it’s thing and performed way beyond any expectations. I’m ready for it to hit ACR and the next single be announced.

I've pretty much accepted its peaked and will drop off next week and uts mire than exceeded expectations. I would like it stay around for a while yet though and a long chart run.

Who knows it may return from ACR for another wave once she promotes the album etc.

 

It’s been a bumpy, fun ride while it lasted.

 

Hopefully it’ll take off a bit more around Europe and especially the US. Just demonstrates that even with good streaming support, Airplay and media coverage, very high numbers of streams are still hard to achieve unless you’re a younger artist…and it’s streams that are most important for the top end of the charts.

 

I’m sure Kylie, the writers/ producers and BMG are all more than happy with everything, especially the huge Airplay revenues achieved, particularly in the UK.

It’s good that it’s in its natural decline so ACR doesn’t feel as harsh even though of course I’d love a few more weeks in the top tier.

 

It will fade away nicely allowing the focus to shift to the album, single 2 and Vegas but also becoming a selling point itself in the album campaign.

Yes it's done well to achieve ACR. The streaming numbers it is getting in UK in week 10 are usually what it would be getting on day 2 or 3 of release!!!! To be getting 670k of worldwide streams on Spotify on week 10 is amazing. Excited to see if she can grab a top 100 on the US Top 100 Billboard chart. Let's see

I was going to suggest why don't we do a one last hurrah for Padam Padam in terms of the charts and downloads tomorrow to boost it's sales before ACR hits?

Yes i would like to do that, but then i thought we could do it on release week of the album or vinyl release date to boost it, especially if it comes off ACR. We have enough versions to really help it in another week.

 

i still holding out hope of an EP with sped up, instrumnetal, dub, vocal mix etc to boost. Also hoping for Todays Top Hits on Spotify haha

I’ve done 5 downloads this week and am streaming on loop.

 

Agree though, one final push before ACR sends it on its way!

I've streamed 50 times a day this week all the variations.

 

That's 350 premium streams and 3.5 sales. 3 downloads this week too.

 

We still have Liverpool pride, the Brighton and Manchester Pride so plenty of Padaming to be done

Hopefully she will be no lower than 17 or 18 by the end of the week.

Do you think if padam padam was released by a more current artist the result would have been any different, dont get me wrong im by no means downplaying the success of Kylie as i think its remarkaable by how well its done but i just wondered would it have been even bigger by a more current artist.

More than "current", I guess current / top artist, it would've done better.

 

Example: if PP was released by Ava Max or Mabel, I doubt it would've grazed the UK top 30.

 

If it were Ariana Grande, it would've been top 5 or Top 3.

 

I still believe the "Kylie" label helped PP's success also, in that the LGBT community immediately got on board, and that was the initial springboard before the song crossed over to the GP.
