I think there is some of this tbh - I mean they can’t continually throw something out every week and also from the response to the JJ remix there isn’t the same fever pitch level of support from the fans now it’s been Top 10.

 

We’re all just waiting for a vinyl which I think is still weeks and weeks away if at all!

With vinyls I think they can't move a slot forward, given how packed the factories presumably still are. My bet is that they'll release two vinyls for the singles at once, like with DISCO. Or if they see a shortage of LPs to sell (which might happen, as I can see the success of PP boosting the pre-orders of the album), they might switch to produce more of those.

I think they might be and also holding back to do something to help it avoid DLC on week 9.

Aha! I didn’t realise it was ‘As It Was’ at 13. PP stands a chance of staying ahead.

I so was hoping this song would go higher than 8 given how it just took off! But looks like general interest has peaked, all the pride activities are over and there’s only so much BMG and the fans want to continue investing in more remixes and physicals. Super stoked it did so well, onto “hold on to now”

The only thing I can think of is that they are building up the preorders on website to see if it worth releasing Thursday or to keep all those sales and make them count on Friday?
