Oh wow, that is nice to see Padam back in a top 100 streaming list. Hopefully the brits performance gives it a nice uplift as well.

 

Problem with Kylie is because she is more of a legacy artist it is hard for her to build streaming, especially with her never cracking America huns.

 

And the younger generation are the ones that do most of the streaming so to impact streaming she needs to build it by grabbing the attention of a younger audience. Hopefully the brit awards has a younger audience and hopefully her performance goes viral as that will help her streams. If not we will just see the usual I tunes and physical increase which is not enough to sustain her, she needs a nice streaming boost from her back cat huns.

Well I'd say the total Spotify streams for Padam Padam wouldn't be a bad indication for its UK certifications.

It reached Silver on 50m Spotify streams.

It reached Gold on 105m Spotify streams.

So I'd say it will reach Platinum on 160-170m Spotify streams, which should happen around the end of this year or beginning of the next.

I think sales for that position are probably 10 maximum which is why we’ve seen it bounce from 117-74-98 etc., - I guess when iTunes sales are so low even something small like airplay or a TV clip etc., can have a big impact?
