With Spain not playing any qualifiers in June due to the Nations League, it’s already very likely that Scotland will remain in the qualifying spots until at least the halfway stage

I cant at Rodri and his hypocritical crying. Boy as if the top 3 in the world championship for fake complainers aren’t the Spanish, Portuguese and Brazilian national teams every damn year

Still in shock Scotland beat Spain tho. We don’t need to qualify for the Euros now, we already peaked

Last 3 Meetings betwen Malta v England:

01/09/2017- Malta 0-4 England

08/10/2016- England 2-0 Malta

03/06/2000- Malta 1-2 England

Manchester City's Treble winners are available for England's Euro 2024 qualifier against Malta, says Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate.

Jack Grealish, Phil Foden, Kyle Walker, John Stones and Kalvin Phillips joined the squad on Tuesday after City won the Champions League final on Saturday.

Southgate said all five are fit to play in Friday's game but he is "yet to decide if that's a good decision".

Malta (3-5-2) Bonello; Apap, S Borg (capt), Attard; Mbong, Guillaumier, Teuma, Kristensen, Z Muscat; Nwoko, Jones.

Subs: M Grech, Debono, Camenzuli, K Shaw, J Grech, Satariano, Corbalan, N Muscat, Degabriele, Yankam, Dimech, J Borg.

England (4-3-3) Pickford; Trippier, Guéhi, Maguire, L Shaw; Alexander-Arnold, Rice, Henderson; Saka, Kane (capt), Maddison.

Subs: Ramsdale, Johnstone, Walker, Stones, Mings, Phillips, Gallagher, Foden, Eze, Wilson, Grealish, Rashford.

Does Maddison count as a Championship player? If so, he's the first outfield championship player to play for England since Zaha in 2012.
96 seconds between the second and third goal as Kane scores from the penalty to make it 3-0 to England.

So we're 3-0 up at half time and yet Southgate has decided this is somehow *not* the time to give Eze, Wilson, Mings etc meaningful game time.

Mings on for Shaw

Rashford on for Kane

Wilson on for Henderson

A triple change for England.

Another penalty for England for a Malta handball and the penalty is converted by Callum Wilson, 4-0 England.

Bad night for Wales and the two Irelands. Cruel for Northern Ireland that their last minute equaliser was ruled out by VAR.

Wow! Way to go Tartan Army!
