October 14, 20223 yr Err ok at them skipping 3 new entries lol Wasn't sure if 'Miss You' would already be entering this week or not - hope southstar makes the top 40 next week as well. Although I'm sure the chart show will probably refuse to play that as well lol ~

Born in 1993, London-based songwriter/producer Fred John Philip Gibson treats his electro and rave-inspired songs as diary entries. But the artist, who performs under the name Fred Again.., doesn’t limit the subject matter to himself. On albums like 2021’s Actual Life (April 14 - December 17 2020) and its sequel, Actual Life 2 (February 2 - October 15 2021), Fred invited his friends into the studio to record their personal stories and then sprinkled them throughout the album. (The obvious exception was an epic Kodak Black sample on “Kahan (Last Year)”.) The songwriter has also worked with stars such as Eminem and Ed Sheeran, but Fred’s longest collaboration is with his brothers, whom he shares his tracks with before they’re released. “It’s such a blessing to work with both of my brothers,” Fred explained in an interview with Apple Music. “I’ll spend hours and hours working on a tune, and they’ll hear it how I will, but without all the baggage. They bring a fresh ear.” - Apple Music Swedish House Mafia No artists represent the exuberance of the 2010s’ EDM boom quite like Swedish House Mafia. Stockholm natives Steve Angello, Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso only played as a trio for a few years, but they burned brighter than virtually any of their main-stage peers, perfecting a winning fusion of radio-ready choruses and earthshaking drops—and then pulling the plug at their peak. In the circus-like atmosphere of the EDM scene, they were living proof of an adage often attributed to P.T. Barnum: “Always leave them wanting more.” All three DJs cut their teeth in the European progressive-house scene of the 2000s, and by 2007, they were informally calling themselves Swedish House Mafia. But not until 2010 did they release their first single under the name: “One”, an attention-grabbing epic whose Pharrell feature testified to the trio’s aim to conquer pop along with dance music. The next two years were a whirlwind of supersized hooks, armor-plated snares and cheekily grandiose anthems like “Save the World” a song that epitomised the heart-on-sleeve yearning of early-2010s EDM. Then, in 2012, they announced their farewell tour, which took them from autumn into the spring of 2013. They left behind the mix album Until One and the singles collection Until Now, the closest they came to releasing a proper full-length, along with two live albums and two documentary films. Five years later, the three reunited to headline Ultra Music Festival, teasing the possibility of future work together—and suggesting that as long as house music rules clubland, there’s a chance that Swedish House Mafia might return to reclaim their throne. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History Fred again.. 2020 57 Charades (Headie One & Fred again..) -1- 2020 51 GANG (Headie One & Fred again..) -2- 2021 36 Marea (We've Lost Dancing) (Fred again.. & The Blessed Madonna) -1- 2022 78 Jungle -1- 2022 27 Turn On The Lights again.. October 14, 20223 yr I really hope not - the vocals are going RIGHT through me. One of the worst vocals I've heard on a chart song this year maybe. Yes, quite. :arrr: The other version's vocal isn't quite so grating, but I don't think I like this. At least not yet.
October 14, 20223 yr how do you tell the difference? they sound identical to me lmaoThe Southstar vocal is more palatable and the production is a little more in keeping with the 90s influence I think.
October 14, 20223 yr Author 26 | 32 | 22nd week Burna Boy Last Last 2nd single from Love, Damini Released: 12th May 2022 Label: Atlantic Recording Corporation Chart Statistics NE (26/05/2022) | 58-55-44-29-20-22-22-12-7-4-5-6-6-23-27-26-23-26-29-31-32-26 Sales: 400k+ Certification: Gold Status: Accelerated Chart Ratio 16 Sales 05 Audio Streaming 01 Video Streaming Video 421w1j87fEM Biography Nigerian singer Burna Boy opened his Apple Music Up Next spotlight with a distinction: “Music’s supposed to be a universal language. You understanding what I’m saying is second. The primary thing is, what does the person inside you hear?” It’s a simple but radical thought: You can listen on your terms, but he doesn’t have to meet you halfway. Born in 1991 and raised on the southern coast of Nigeria before moving to London for college, Burna (born Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu) has become one of the most prominent African pop artists of the 21st century, fusing his specific background—a Nigerian man entering adulthood in the United Kingdom—with a global vision that encompasses Afrobeats, dancehall, trap, UK hip-hop and just about everything else that might fit under his diasporic umbrella. The result is an artist who isn’t confined by his identity but doesn’t dilute it either. By the time he received broader recognition through a (conspicuously uncredited) feature on Drake’s 2017 mix, More Life, he was already a star in Africa; 2019’s African Giant, which featured collaborators as disparate as Angélique Kidjo, Skrillex, Damian Marley and Future, brought him into international focus. Yeah, he’s just speaking to his people. But there are more of them all the time. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 2017 88 Good Time (J Hus feat. Burna Boy) 2019 06 Location (Dave feat. October 14, 20223 yr omg what is he doingggggg playing all the old songs but skipping the brand new ones??? he better not skip mimi or i'll throw hands
October 14, 20223 yr Author Didn't Sugar peak at #21???? It did, thanks for pointing it out, it's an error from years back as I copy and pasted his chart history from when Shed a Light charted
October 14, 20223 yr The only reason I can think of is to keep the mood upbeat for the dance night ahead... but I don't see why that should affect the chart. It basically defeats the point of even having the chart show in my opinion? Indeed it defeats the purpose is right and they cancel it for any event during the year normally too!
October 14, 20223 yr So annoying that the mid Turn On the Lights is Fred's biggest chart hit. He has so much better out the moment as well (Danielle and Bleu)
October 14, 20223 yr 'Jungle' is SO much better than this, really wish that got this success :( Yes THIS :cheer: And Danielle and Bleu. Turn On Lights is just basic and annoying vocals in comparison
October 14, 20223 yr Author 25 | 13 | 10th week KSI featuring Tom Grennan Not Over Yet 1st single from forthcoming studio album Released: 5th August 2022 Label: Warner Music UK Chart Statistics NE (18/08/2022) | 4-8-14-6-4-6-7-11-13-25 Sales: 200k+ Certification: Silver Status: Standard Chart Ratio 01 Sales 06 Audio Streaming 01 Video Streaming Video k80GnU6218k Biography Hitting number two in the UK album chart and with over a billion streams, in Dissimulation KSI creates space for both his public persona and the personal: big hit features with the likes of Rick Ross and Lil Baby (Down Like That) and AJ Tracey (Tides) sit alongside more intimate, honest tracks. No stranger to defying expectations, Dissimulation received critical acclaim. Clash labelled it “an excellent body of work”; “he’s absolutely smashed it” proclaimed Metro. Other labels and artists want a piece of the KSI pie too: just look to the success of his features on S1mba’s Loose and Nathan Dawe’s BRIT nominated Lighter. With his second album out now, a 2021 tour which sold out in seconds including a headline show at The SSE Arena Wembley, the launch of his own label and a single with Craig David (Really Love), Anne-Marie (Don’t Play) and YUNGBLUD (Patience), KSI has proven that music is very much his domain. KSI brings with him the unrelenting work ethic and infectious energy which YouTube instilled in him. Despite his debut’s success, he’s certain Dissimulation just scratched the surface: the next record, he’s clear, will showcase his artistry’s further progression again. Given FAULT Magazine described KSI as “one of 2019’s biggest success stories - “an emergent hip-hop star” said The i - all eyes will be on his follow up. KSI’s task - writes The Observer - is “not just to make “YouTube rap” but the real thing”. Their verdict? “Mission accomplished.” - Spotify Top 100 Chart History KSI 2013 44 No Sleep (Sway feat. October 14, 20223 yr Good to see the new peak for Fred again.., I agree he has far better songs but I have grown to like this one quite a bit too (for the instrumental). Maybe I need to relisten to the Schulz version of 'Miss You' but I really don't remember the vocals sounding very different at all between the two versions! I didn't even know it was a different vocal until after listening to them lol.
