again a couple Ive never heard of (movies obv) and 26 chart-toppers for me out of 65 so over 1 in 3. I'm surprised (but shouldnt be) that Abba not dominating more and Oasis being everywhere. Presumably Abba fans just put Gold on and dont bother streaming so much, while Oasis fans have prob dumped their CD's and moved to streaming-only. A bit like rap fans who prob never actually buy physical or digital music, or one-off dance tunes and hits. I know all my little kiddie relatives stream kiddie-appealing songs all the time, so that's why there will be some in the top 100, they know how to work Alexa and keep asking for the song they want till you can't stand hearing it over and over anymore  . The youngest is 4 and she's currently into Michael Jackson videos and wants to marry him when she grows up. I foresee tears ahead when she goes to school and someone tells her.... :o

Great to see Billy Joel surprisingly high with We Didnt Start The Fire, it sounds better with every decade passing, as does his back catalogue. Hooked On A Feeling there due to Guardians Of The Galaxy (as was Redbone, both of them UK flops, but not for me), it was a UK hit for Jonathan King in 1971 (when it topped my chart) but that version (which Blue Swede copied entirely) doesn't get airplay these days... :teresa:

I'd like 'Lovely Day' a lot more if not for that one note lol.

Nooo that note is fabulous! My favourite song so far today.

Classic is Foreigner <3 and love WOL too.

105 Dire Straits - Walk of Life

104 Human League - Don't You Want Me

103 Phil Collins - In The Air Tonight

102 New Order - Blue Monday

Enjoying the countdown still, but these adverts are grating now that the same ones have come around so often - now I know why I usually stick to BBC Radio :kink:

Common People will be hard to beat, though they've mostly been good so far today.

Four brilliant ones in a row with Lovely Day, I Wanna Know What Love Is, Walk Of Life and Don’t You Want Me. if In The Air Tonight is next that makes five!
Blue Monday so close to the top 100! :drama: Great track though. Surprised Don't You Want Me isn't in the top 100 too, another one that deserved to be in there.

After all those good songs being just outside the top 100 I'm relieved that #100 is also a great tune, Song 2

The original Down Under straight afterwards too, nice.
