November 11, 20223 yr Author 20 | 24 | 6th week Ed Sheeran Celestial Soundtrack single from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Also features on = Released: 29th September 2022 Label: Asylum Records UK Chart Statistics NE (13/10/2022) | 6-15-22-21-24-20 Sales: 90k+ Certification: - Status: Standard Chart Ratio 01 Sales 31 Audio Streaming 22 Video Streaming Video 23g5HBOg3Ic Biography There’s a lovely moment a little ways into Apple Music’s Songwriter documentary about Ed Sheeran in which Sheeran, jet-lagged and carrying a cup of tea, straggles out into a yard in Malibu at dawn, sits down at his laptop and begins writing a song about the moment right in front of him: the crisp air, the birdsong, the hot tea, the day ahead. He gets a full verse in, melody and all, then pauses. “Songs are weird things,” he says. “How so?” an interviewer asks. “They just come and go,” Sheeran says, smiling. “And they never give you any warning.” For Sheeran, they seem to come pretty reliably. Born in 1991 in Halifax, England, he started out gigging on the UK pub circuit before releasing his first studio album, +, in 2011, and has since become one of the most unstoppable singer-songwriters in music, forging a light blend of folk, pop, hip-hop and dance that feels slick but lived-in, intimate but universal. Whether on his own (“Sing”, “The A Team”, “Shape of You”, “Perfect”) or in collaboration with artists from Taylor Swift to Eminem to Justin Bieber, Sheeran has a unique ability to strike a chord that feels both bittersweet and redemptive, good-natured and genuine: the hopeless romantic who convinces you he might just be right. In 2017, he was made a Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, touching Prince Charles on the arm while shaking his hand—a breach of royal protocol, and an appealingly human one at that. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 2011 03 The A Team -1- MILLION SELLER 2011 35 Hush Little Baby (Wretch 32 feat. November 11, 20223 yr 21 Savage with a UK #1 album to his name we LOVE to see *.* (irrespective of if Drake's contributions to it are worthwhile or not, jury remains out on that x)
November 11, 20223 yr I knew it was impossible cos Drake was 3K ahead and they're doing similarly on streaming but too bad Midnights couldn't hold on to #1 Is Drake gonna continue releasing albums every 6 months? Not that hard when you have ghost producers and ghost songwriters, wonder if he even has ghosts singers that do his job? :D
November 11, 20223 yr I thought this was SZA's first single in ages, completely missed the intervening 3!
November 11, 20223 yr Author 19 | 16 | 11th week David Guetta and Bebe Rexha I'm Good (Blue) Non-album single Released: 26th August 2022 Label: Warner Music UK Chart Statistics NE (08/09/2022) | 7-2-2-1-2-2-2-2-5-16-19 Sales: 400k+ Certification: Gold Status: Accelerated Chart Ratio 01 Sales 02 Audio Streaming 02 Video Streaming Video 90RLzVUuXe4 Biography David Guetta From his early days playing Chicago house in French discotheques to his long reign atop the pop charts, David Guetta has revolutionised dance music multiple times. Born in Paris in 1967, Guetta began DJing in the late ’80s, when the shimmery sound known as the “French touch” was taking shape. By the early 2000s, at his F*** Me I’m Famous parties in Ibiza, he had translated that melodic style into a clever merger of pop sass and club swagger. He parlayed that mix into pure platinum with hits like 2003’s “Just for One Day”, an energy-stoking rework of David Bowie’s “Heroes”, and 2002’s “Just a Little More Love”, a sultry bump-and-grind featuring R&B singer Chris Willis. That versatility—along with a knack for killer hooks—would become one of Guetta’s principal calling cards, and as EDM exploded across pop culture at the end of the 2000s, Guetta’s shapeshifting style led the way, yielding ecstatic affirmations (“When Love Takes Over”), feisty come-ons (“Sexy Bitch”) and unstoppable singalongs (The Black Eyed Peas’ “I Gotta Feeling”, which Guetta produced). Since then, his collaborations (Sia, Nicki Minaj) have kept listeners guessing even as his choruses—triumphant as a bottle of bubbly blowing its top—have proven one of pop’s most dependable pleasures. - Apple Music Bebe Rexha What do pop-punk pin-up Pete Wentz, rap diva Nicki Minaj, Top 40 queen Selena Gomez, and country hitmakers Florida Georgia Line have in common? They’ve all been drawn into the orbit of singer/songwriter Bebe Rexha. Born in 1989, the Brooklyn native has left her fingerprints all over the modern musical landscape through her high-profile songwriting credits, her many genre-hopping collaborations, and her own brutally frank yet undeniably effervescent dance-pop bops. It was Wentz who first spotted Rexha’s potential, when the Fall Out Boy founder invited her to bring her sassy vocals to his short-lived electro side project Black Cards in 2011. After striking out on her own, Rexha initially found success as a writer for the likes of Gomez (“Like a Champion”) and Eminem (“The Monster”), and as a guest singer on David Guetta’s 2015 Top 10 clap-happy banger, “Hey Mama”, providing a chorus hook almost towering enough to overshadow Minaj. But since releasing her own debut EP, I Don’t Wanna Grow Up, that same year, Rexha has applied her pop smarts to songs that are unafraid to dredge up all sorts of messy emotions. Never shy about quoting her therapist in song, Rexha lays her mental-health struggles bare on singles like “I’m Gonna Show You Crazy” and “I’m a Mess”, translating self-loathing into unapologetic anthems. But her 2017 honky-trap hoedown with Florida Georgia Line on “Meant to Be” showcased a sweeter side, cementing Rexha’s crossover appeal to club kids and heartland romantics alike. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History David Guetta 2002 46 Love, Don't Let Me Go (feat. Emerging onto the scene in 2017 with ‘David Blaine’, Trap’s consistent stream of releases resulted in co-signs from the likes of Stormzy, Giggs, and Fredo (to name a few) and earned him a permanent spot in the UK music scene's hall of fame. Since establishing his own label and independence, Trap has been unstoppable from his critically acclaimed, ‘Trapo’ project late last year, to his Top 20 mixtape this year, ‘Joints 2’ featuring long-term friend and collaborator, Blade Brown. Most recently, Trap has collaborated with streetwear brand, Hoodrich on a limited range of clothes, further cementing his position as an influential, cultural icon. Away from the rest of the herd, Trap is a timeless rapper who does things on his own terms and the forthcoming mixtape is his proudest and most versatile to date. Said so by the Trap himself “If you're a true K-Trap supporter this is gonna be your best K-Trap year” and he is a man of his word. Filled with A-List collaborations soon to be revealed, the 19-track tape bridges the gap between 2017 Trap and present-day Trap, a young man who is still going through the growing pains of wanting a better life for himself and his family. - Spotify Top 100 Chart History 2018 20 AirForce (DigDat feat. November 11, 20223 yr So glad to see a 'Celestial' rebound, I'm sure it's mostly due to the ACR clearout but still. 'Warm' having three entirely non-consecutive weeks in the top 40 so far, although I reckon it'll stick around this time.

A classic songwriter - awarded a prestigious Ivor Novello for Songwriter of the Year in 2014 – relied on his passion more than ever when it came to crafting his new pop-leaning, emotionally-healing fourth album. The whirlwind around his debut had kickstarted a work ethic that became an obsession that culminated in crippling anxiety, leading to a dark period of mental health that stalked most of Odell’s 2018 and 19. Odell wrote his way through it, eventually letting down his guard and pouring out his feelings. These broader lyrical horizons needed to be matched by a musical expansion, with a lot of the songs on the new album leaning into a more DIY, electronic, bedroom pop sound. The love of this new direction chimed with the pandemic's arrival and songs were crafted in a more threadbare way around instruments he had at hand, like Moog synths. It was a move underpinned by both necessity and a desire to explore. Four albums into his career and Odell has made a record that feels free of expectation and of other people's perceptions of who he is as an artist. While darkness was the inspiration, this multi-layered, genre-bending pop album is full of light and hope, even in the strangest of times. - Spotify Top 100 Chart History 2012 10 Another Love -3- MILLIONAIRE 2013 67 Can't Pretend -1- 2013 44 Hold Me -2- 2013 46 Grow Old With Me -4- 2013 92 I Know -5- 2014 07 Real Love -NAS- 2016 40 Magnetised -1- 0 x #1 | 0 x Top 5 | 2 x Top 10 | 2 x Top 20 | 3 x Top 40 | 7 x Top 100 Social Media Tom Odell http://i.imgur.com/1SERq1f.png
