Its the top 5 and they are acting this week. Wonder who will do well...

This episode is so dull omg. They're all nice people and I think they're all talented but idk....it's just not exciting or entertaining to me at all unfortunately.

That was great but I agree the episodes just a bit boring.

 

The winner of the challenge confused me thought another was obviously stronger.

Thought Danny Beard should've won? I think Cheddar Gorgeous in the acting challenge is good but not the best for me, which is Danny Beard imo. Don't think Black Peppa is that bad in the acting challenge. Jonbers Blonde was alreet. Pixie Polite just existed. Hate the edit shows mostly the negative stuff of the preparation of the acting challenge.

 

I agree with the comments on runway looks about Jonbers Blonde and Black Peppa. They are great. Am I the only one thinking Danny Beard's outfit is her worst so far? Found it a bit monotonic for me :unsure: Pixie Polite is the least good on the runway for me too.

 

Thought the bottom 2 should've been Jonbers Blonde and Pixie Polite. The lip sync is really good and Black Peppa is throwing her all and we'd love to see it! :D

I was at Black Peppa's viewing party and the vibe was much better in the room! Peppa also performed 3 songs and her dancing has really levelled up from the show. She was a real sweetheart as well.

 

I did think it was a bit mean to have them all talking about their supportive families after we had already had Peppa last week talking about how she and her family had difficulties. She got a little upset watching it as well and also when her friend was on screen.

 

Peppa said at the party that they only had a few hours in between getting the scripts and performing/filming it, during which time they also had to get into drag, so if it was a bit rough that might be part of it. I didn't think it was a bad skit - a bit long maybe. I did think that unfortunately there wasn't much you could do with either Jonbers or Peppa's roles. Peppa also said at the viewing party that for challenges like this with a lot of potential characters, it was her opinion that they doctored the scripts based on who was left and made sure there was characters that would appeal to each of the queens who were left - which was interesting to know! She also said that Jonbers' gown looked even better in person and that Jonbers had made some changes to it in the werkroom as well while they were there.

I thought Cheddar was by far the best! I do think her role was obviously the best and the easiest one to make work but it was so different to what we’d usually see her do so it worked even better. I agree that the roles were a bit imbalanced, I don’t think anyone could have worked that well with whatever that Ashleigh and Pudsey character was meant to be….. I thought the skit was pretty crap all in all which is a shame for something inspired by BB which I’ve wanted on the show for ages now. Danny was funny ish at points, the rest were varying degrees of meh to awful.

 

The issue for me this series is that Cheddar and Danny are so far above the level of everyone else! And that’s not to detract from the others who are talented, but the breadth of things that they can do well is far greater and fits the show to a t. I feel like Sminty and Dakota in particular had so much spark and charm, that it factor that Drag Race needs and thrives on, but neither could live up to the talent, star power and versatility of Danny and Cheddar. They’re also two of the big names everyone would have called to go on Drag Race, so I think casting them both in a season just leads to a two horse race. And it’s… fine, it’s better than season 3 having a really boring cast with little star power, but for a competition show it’s boring. Often, there is a fairly obvious winner but there’s still at least SOME semblance of a competition. S14 of the original American series is one, I feel like Willow was an obvious winner but the win distribution was more even, and others had shining moments throughout and there were other front runners who at various points I feel could have taken it. Take out Danny’s solo wins and Cheddar’s Snatch Game, and there aren’t really any huge standout moments, those two have just stolen the show and whilst I love them both, it’s to the detriment of the series as it goes on.

I enjoyed the episode but thought the skit was a bit underwhelming. Danny and Cheddar did amazing and I agree with Cheddar winning. It's a shame Black Peppa didn't tone it down a bit as I thought she could've done quite well. Jonbers and Peppa being bottom 2 was the right call.

 

Jonbers on the runway was so stunning though! And Black Peppa's look was great as well. This season has definitely been the best UK season for runways overall.

 

The lip sync was quite good and glad both stayed. Although I do wish Black Peppa didn't throw herself so much into it - sometimes it can make her lip sync look a bit messy/disjointed. Her first split was great but then the jump split death drop thing was a bit of a mess as well as one of her back bends.
