Come on seriously though, how much input can Victoria have had in writing those 11 number ones?!
Renowned songwriting legend Victoria Beckham in the Top 20 where she belongs! :cheeseblock:

Chart toppers:

The only artist in UK Singles history to have had 4 Number 1s as a member of a group and 4 solo Number 1s. (I was lucky enough to tell her that in a French bar - gracious lady.)

And George Michael….

Right of course, I should have qualified "female". Thanks.

Chart toppers:

• California Gurls (2010)

• Dynamite (2010)

• We R Who We R (2011)

• Payphone (2012)

• Diamonds (2012)

• Me And My Broken Heart (2014)

• Something I Need (2014)

• Love Yourself (2015)

• Cold Water (2016)

• Eastside (2018)

• Senorita (2019)

Basically writing a chart topper each year for the 10s on average, Blanco started out being mentored by Dr Luke but has moved from songwriting to chart topping popstar himself with 2018’s “Eastside” and recently acting.

Chart toppers:

• Wannabe (1996)

• Say You’ll be There (1996)

• 2 Become 1 (1996)

• Mama (1997)

• Who Do You Think You Are (1997)

• Spice Up Your Life (1997)

• Too Much (1997)

• Viva Forever (1998)

• Goodbye (1998)

• Holler (2000)

• Let Love Lead The Way (2000)

The first Spice Girl to go solo and make No 1, Mel B has certainly kept her media profile higher than some of her former bandmates by appearing and judging on a fair few reality shows over the years, along with some high profile relationships.

Obviously is pleasing to see that Geri and Victoria are the lowest placed Spice Girls in this rate!
The spices released double a sides which is adding to their tally.

Wonder if an interpolation of 4 different songs in one #1 song counts as 4 songs to the tally of each songwriter - I think those songwriters would have already come up otherwise, but I may have missed something else...

Edit: just remembered something else by them that got interpolated in a different #1, guess that explains it instead.

Chart toppers:

• Wannabe (1996)

• Say You’ll be There (1996)

• 2 Become 1 (1996)

• Mama (1997)

• Who Do You Think You Are (1997)

• Spice Up Your Life (1997)

• Too Much (1997)

• Viva Forever (1998)

• Goodbye (1998)

• Holler (2000)

• Let Love Lead The Way (2000)

• What Took You So Long? (2001)

Another former Spice Girl here but Bunton started out acting with bit parts in “The Bill”, “Eastenders” and “To Play The King” in the early 90s. Though she had a long standing relationship with Damage singer Jade Jones (they finally married last year) she also dated 911 lead singer Lee Brennan and footballer Rio Ferdinand back in the day.

• Never Be The Same Again (2000)

• I Turn To You (2000)

• Holler (2000)

• Let Love Lead The Way (2000)

Here’s the highest placed former Spice Girls as she’s the one who co-wrote the most chart toppers. She was also the only one to score a top 20 single post 2010- #relevance

Spice Girls slaying :cheeseblock: Well done to Melanie C for coming out on top!

All of them achieved those #1s within 5 years. I wonder where they would have placed in this list if the songs only went as far as 2001, perhaps some of them would have been within the Top 10 writers at that point

Looking forward to seeing the Top 14! ^_^
