OMGG so happy for you that all happened!! Sounds amazing!!

Glad you enjoyed the show!!

----

I JUST GOT BACK FROM TONIGHT'S SHOW! AND WOW, IT WAS AMAZING! I truly loved it and they were waaaay better than I expected it.

They have so many classics and the crowd was absolutely WILD and so here for them. I had the best time, i'm so glad I went despite the M&G mess.

I'd definitely go and see them again in the future!

They performed with Hanson at the show today. Also I believe Emma Willis was in attendance, they said something about it being some of their kids first show!

It was Charlie’s kids who were there!

Glad you had an amazing time!

Issue with one of the CDs it seems

Dear customer,

Unfortunately, an issue with the pressing of the ‘Guest Features Edition’ CD of the latest Greatest Hits 2.0 album from Busted has been brought to our attention.

It contains the audio for the standard ‘Hits Edition’ which also makes up part of the ‘Guest Features Edition’, as opposed to the full ‘Guest Features Edition’ tracklisting.

If your order has already been processed for dispatch, you will receive the physical CD to listen to the ‘Hits Version’ tracks of the album. We will send out replacement discs of the ‘Guest Features Edition’ from Wednesday 20th September. We will send an update when the replacement discs have been dispatched.

It's all going swimmingly, then.

The tracklist situation is beyond confusing for this, for me, anyway.

I ordered this version on Amazon yesterday: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Greatest-Hits-2-0-...72QC/ref=sr_1_1

The page lists 23 tracks, is that correct? I'm guessing this refers to the deluxe and there's an error on the Amazon page as I saw a version in Asda for the same price and with the same cover with 13 songs on it.

And will Amazon send me a replacement if the tracks are wrong? Mess.

No version on streaming contains all the solo + guest tracks which is a bit annoying for my Last FM!

The new solo version of 'Thunderbirds Are Go' is brilliant though, McFly bring it down a little on the guest one unfortunately.

^^ No idea tbh, I ordered the complete bundle from their website and I’m sure it’s not only the CDs from them directly are the only ones affected.

Feel for them a bit though, it’s being self released and at the price they are selling it for I’m sure there is zero profit in them before this happened.

Nah, my Amazon order just turned up and it's the 15 track non features edition burned onto the Guest Features disc and in that case.

That will cost them a bit to sort eek.

Anyway, Amazon have given me a 'Returnless Refund' so I'll try and get the correct version once it's sorted.

I'm confused... the one on Apple Music has both the "Guest Version" & the "Hits Version" available under one album? (I'm not sure what it's like for Spotify)

But maybe I'm getting confused as to what you are referring to aha!

Wasn't a fan of many of the "Guest Versions". That's fine, coz I'm glad we have the "Hits Versions"/originals to keep going back to. I thought Charlotte sounded a little bit out of place on 'You Said No' and I actually think she would have been better on 'She Wants To Be Me' (with an extra fun verse from her perspective of the story) or 3AM. I lasted literally 10-15 seconds (more or less after he started "singing") of 3AM with HIM :puke: He is absolutely HORRENDOUS and I really hate that he's on one of my favourite Busted songs. Ughhhh. I quite liked the Bowling For Soup version of 'She Wants To Be Me' (but I'll still stick with the original version)

I'll be listening to the new "Hits Versions" shortly. I like that they re-recorded them!

The 'Guest Features Edition' that you posted there is missing a couple of the non-feature versions! The 'Hits' recordings of 'Meet You There', 'She Wants to Be Me', 'Everything I Knew' and 'Falling For You' are all only on the standard 'Hits' version.
Ahhh ok. I didn't realise they were even a thing (I didn't really notice the tracklists much beyond who the guest features were and on what song )
Amazon sent me the 1 disc 2.0 only version when I ordered the complete version

I gave some of the new versions a listen earlier and... I'm sorry but I completely fail to see the point of this album! It's not like the new 'Hits' versions of the songs are radically different to the originals. Who wants to listen to an album of slightly different versions of the hits?

The features I understand a bit more and obviously Mmmbop 2.0 is great, but the 'Hits' album? No thanks, I'll just listen to a Spotify playlist of the original hits thanks.

I heard the hits version on iTunes through previews and they don’t sound like the originals. I might just keep the album just for the 2.0s

Well I guess I'm in the minority who actually really loves the "Hits Versions"?

I don't think they're carbon copies at all and I really like the touches they've added to them all!

I think more artists should do this when it comes to Greatest Hits albums tbh. Re-record their older hits. They were definitely inspired by Taylor's re-recordings I reckon and I wonder if, due to this being self-released, this was done because they couldn't get the rights to their material to throw the OG's into a greatest hits? It's also probably why there's no 'Night Driver' or 'Half Way There' on here.

Same here! A lot of the production on their early stuff isn't great imo, it's a strange mix between Blink 182-esque pop-punk and boyband stuff from the time. Although I suppose it's a little different for me as I didn't grow up with Busted, so I have little nostalgia for them bar Year 3000.

But it's been clear since 'Half Way There' what direction they want to go in, even more so with the big names in the scene involved here, and their old music sounds great updated in that style.

I’ve given this a listen and I have to say, it’s awful. The updated versions are not good at all, vocals over produced and some of the features are questionable. The only decent version is Loser Kid. I’ll stick to the originals
I hate when artists do that for their greatest hits albums. Take That also did it on theirs and that was the reason I didn’t buy it. I agree when you say just stick to the originals

These days most people will just use a Spotify playlist for that though, at least it being different (and pretty good imo) gives it a reason to exist.

I personally love the ‘hits’ versions - yes, they are not wildly different but every song has something added to it plus their voices have changed somewhat so brings them bang up to date.

Also, seeing as they are self releasing it’s probably means by re-recording them they done need to license them back from their old record label.

Take That's main reason for doing it was because the originals are already widely available.

These aren't designed to replace the originals. In Take That's case though, they just did a few remasters instead of re-recording all the songs.

Really looking forward to seeing the sales on this.

The fact they’ve priced the vinyl at £15 and CDs at £4.99 plus really cheap bundles has hopefully attracted healthy sales along with the signings.

The red vinyl and bigger bundles have sold out on their website but they’ve added some new ones, all the bundles included 2 x downloads though so hopefully they push people to download them so they count (just done both of mine).
