September 5, 20231 yr So I got M&G for several dates - they’ve been cancelled and refunded (including dates they are not doing free for all signings at). I’ve been given a downgraded VIP package of soundcheck and Q&A so only had part of the VIP amount refunded for the M&G - I’m not interested in soundcheck etc., and not something I’ve done for other artists and paid for, when I contacted them and asked for a full refund as I didn’t want the soundcheck I was told it’s not possible - absolute mess. I get artists wanting to get to #1 but the desperation is real with this one - £4.99 CDs and £13.99 vinyl while screwing over fans in the process that have supported for years.
September 5, 20231 yr I complained and already received a full refund. Keep complaining and you'll get it! I am with you on your annoyance, it has dampened seeing them this weekend, i'm less interested in going now tbh. Edited September 5, 20231 yr by Slayer
September 5, 20231 yr I don't even have M&G or VIP for The O2 on Sunday but I'm annoyed for you both! Glad you got a refund OK Slayer. All of a sudden, were it not for seeing Hanson I'd be binning this off. I don't admire the way they've conducted themselves on this at all.

I am with you on your annoyance, it has dampened seeing them this weekend, i'm less interested in going now tbh. Well done for getting a refund, I’ve just tried again and got this  I’m more annoyed at the fact I’m actually not going to bother going to the ‘VIP’ events refund or not as I’m not interested in a soundcheck. and as for the VIP tickets they were nonrefundable, our advice is that attend the event for as this your tickets are still VIP package it will guarantee you a VIP experience at this event
September 6, 20231 yr Well done for getting a refund, I’ve just tried again and got this  I’m more annoyed at the fact I’m actually not going to bother going to the ‘VIP’ events refund or not as I’m not interested in a soundcheck. WHAT ON EARTH?! Who are you speaking with? Ticketfactory or somewhere else? Say to them you ordered a meet and greet package, not the package that has been allocated to you and that you did not agree to that specific package. Emphasise you would not have purchased the package if there was no M&G element. Let them know you’re aware others have received full refunds so it is clearly refundable. I stated that I am a legal professional and that I am qualifying as a solicitor within a few months and that I am fully aware of the law and the t&c’s to help make sure I did get a refund. This was all true but if they still give you hassle maybe try say what I did to see if that makes a difference? As they paid the full thing straight away after I said that.
September 6, 20231 yr ^^ I’m dealing with Ticketmaster ‘fan services’ :drama: I’ve gone back to them already and said that the package has significantly altered and not what was advertised and I’m not interested in a downgraded ‘experience’ so will see what they say, the fact I’m having to do this for multiple shows and dates too :drama: I really feel like it’s a massive FU from Busted and their team, soz the band don’t wanna meet fans but we’ll still take your money for a totally different VIP event and make it as difficult as possible for you to get a refund. I’ve been to every Busted tour and I’m now at the point of not wanting to go to any on this tour just because of they way they have handled this whole thing.
September 6, 20231 yr I’ve just got full refunds for the VIP part for 3 of the shows - thank you Slayer! :cheer:
September 6, 20231 yr That is incredibly shitty tbh. I never understood why soundcheck was considered a VIP thing… like WHO wants to hear and see that happening? I’d understand more if they were meeting the artists and having an intimate moment with each of them and then getting the M&G all done that way. Never made sense to me how they see it worthwhile enough to include it in these package things  Also the non-refundable part is gross, ESPECIALLY when it’s altered so much. Just refund the tickets to those that don’t want them and re-sell to those who may be looking for them? That’s also never made sense to me lol. I can’t imagine how you are all feeling about that. I’ll just be excited to see them live again, but I know I’d be extremely disappointed and cba if I was treated that way, so I get your frustrations. Their team really should come out with an apology for how they’ve handled it all.
September 6, 20231 yr I’ve just got full refunds for the VIP part for 3 of the shows - thank you Slayer! :cheer: Yayyyy!! I am so happy to hear this! Did you say what I suggested? Surely if you’re dealing with the same company they should be able to refund the other shows you had a M&G for too?! Part of me is unsure if I still want to attend the show on Saturday but I love Busted’s music so I think I’m still going to go.
September 6, 20231 yr I understand why this would leave a sour taste in your mouth, but if you haven’t seen them before, I can’t recommend seeing them enough. They’re brilliant live and always put on a show. But ofc, I think I’d feel the same after the experience you have just had. Really does suck!
September 6, 20231 yr Thanks Tafty, it would be my first time seeing them and I’m sure I would regret it in the future if I didn’t see them! It’s just a shame this has happened! I think I’m definitely going to as I grew up with Busted, thank you again :heart-old: Edited September 6, 20231 yr by Slayer
September 6, 20231 yr Thanks everyone. I’m not even mad at them cancelling the M&G, but the downgraded package and then having to fight for a refund is really poor form and so many fans looking at social media have taken the initial ‘no’ when asking for a full refund despite them not wanting to attend the altered VIP experience. Artists can do whatever they like but should really be looking after fans in the process who happily paid upwards of £250+ for M&G. Slayer - if you’ve never seen them live before then you will love it, they are EPIC live and underrated IMO for their live performances. Edited September 6, 20231 yr by ___∆___
September 7, 20231 yr Author Here it is! Sounds a bit Night Driver-y, not a bad thing though. DQl4g_q98dQ
September 7, 20231 yr Sounds more like a leftover from Charlie’s last solo album than Busted but I’m liking it a lot.
September 9, 20231 yr So I went to my first show and I had the best time - *I met all of the band before the show, managed to get several vinyl signed and pictures with all of them - makes their decision even more bizarre that they cancelled M&G, they also stopped after the show for selfies etc., but obviously at that point there were 100s waiting for them versus 8 people before the show. *The ‘WOW’ pit was iconic - apart from 2 songs all was geared towards the WOW pit and lots of interaction as they moved around the perimeter. *Setlist was as expected - A real Greatest Hits show. Overall an incredible night, can’t wait for the next week - just wish all the VIP/M&G drama beforehand didn’t happen. They are also cleverly selling lanyards for £10 at the shows, after buying one you scan the QR code and it takes you to their website where you get a CD and signed photo (plus free delivery) for the new album when it’s released - great way to get some extra sales.
September 9, 20231 yr OMGG so happy for you that all happened!! Sounds amazing!! Glad you enjoyed the show!! ---- I JUST GOT BACK FROM TONIGHT'S SHOW! AND WOW, IT WAS AMAZING! I truly loved it and they were waaaay better than I expected it. They have so many classics and the crowd was absolutely WILD and so here for them. I had the best time, i'm so glad I went despite the M&G mess. I'd definitely go and see them again in the future! They performed with Hanson at the show today. Also I believe Emma Willis was in attendance, they said something about it being some of their kids first show!
September 9, 20231 yr Glad you had the best time - I knew you would love it :cheer: Iconic to see them perform with Hanson too.

(I’m pretty sure we get a lanyard with it, icr) Glad you all had a great time! I’m excited for my show in two weeks!
