Saudi Arabia have been the better side so far but Poland took their chance and Szczesny saved a penalty.
Saudi Arabia have been the best team to watch so far but Poland were more clinical today.

Would Mexico be happy with a draw? They can make 5 points if they beat Saudi Arabia.
That's by far the worst Mexico team I've ever seen. They could have played for another 90 minutes and still not even made a chance. It's a shame because Argentina were there for the taking. Mexico have a lot of work to do in the next 3 and a half years to create a team capable of competing at their home tournament.

It has been very difficult...

But when you win such battles it would be better for united of the team thank simple wins from the beginning.

Well done, Argentina.

Do all 3 host nations (Canada, USA & Mexico) have to qualify or do all 3 countries get a free pass. I can't remember if they changed the rules from 2026 onwards. can't wait for this one with 3 different time zones.

Easily the worst Mexico team I've seen, their unique streak looks set to come to an end.

They all qualify automatically as hosts. After not being in a World Cup for so long Canada are going to be in 2 in a row because of this.

Next World Cup is 48 teams. but I don't think you'd need to be very good to make it to the last 32 in 2026 as the group stages will be pretty dire. Then it's a knockout so anything can happen, I'd expect one of Mexico/USA/Canada to make the QF at least, the Central American teams will do well.
CONCACAF get 6 automatic places + playoffs in the new system, so there'd be very little chance of any of the three hosts not qualifying if they needed to.

Thanks... so Mexico it will be their 3rd time, shame other Central American countries did not bid, Honduras, Costa Rica etc etc. Could have been a Caribbean Tournament

Dangerous times for Argentina, a draw v Poland, combined with a Saudi win would see them eliminated..
