No NMF UK today? The US have one and some other playlists have updated.

spotify usually don’t bother with NMFUK for the last week of the year as its incredibly dry for new releases

And IIRC whatever halfway notable releases come out in the skipped week just end up being lumped in with the following week.

Just noticed this myself! Crazy

:puke2: Eurgh at Tory Lanez climbing to just outside top 40, not that I've heard or intend to listen to him.

much of the hip hop community sided with Tory Lanez over Meghan so it does appear that he’s not really lost any of his fan base over it unfortunately

though as ever the reason for this song of his taking off is TikTok. it had been bubbling under for a while so it was only ever a matter of christmas being over for it to go top 50.

I love that it's looking likely that the first 2 number 1's of 2023 are going to belong to 2 black females. (2 good-great songs too!)

(Really hoping RAYE can get there for a week before SZA takes over and the first new big artist release is unleashed)

I could really do without Tory Lane having any sort of hit, gross.

#its all his fans after the court case smh. some people are so f*cked up

Can't the TikTok community rally behind 'Her' and get that viral or something??

yes this STREAM HER BY QUEEN MEG

*and 1 Hispanic (? she has roots in the Dominican Republic) female #070shakeerasure x

I'm not sure I see SZA getting to #1, I know she apparently has a music video out soon and she might get more prominent playlist spots etc. so there is a definite chance but as it is she's still a way off overtaking RAYE. She is looking good to get the first new #1 of the year in the US though - unless Brenda Lee gets #1 this week of course which is still possible.

I don't see SZA going #1 or do you know something that I don't? Kill Bill isn't #1 on any platform (#9 on AM) and has obviously peaked in streams too.

Oh shit yeah! I always just refer to it as RAYE's song! Oops. But yeah! Loveeee seeing that! I think SZA is in line to get a decent video boost tbh. Could be a bit of a viral moment too. But like you say, we'll see though.
