Will we see Argentina going out tonight after seeing that match, that would be amazing.

This has been one of my only predictions that has been right at this tournament.

I’d fancy Croatia to beat Argentina or Netherlands too. Could be a rematch against France in the final.

Neymar never even got to take a kick? The Brazilian coach should be fired for that.
It could Messi's destiny to win it in his last World Cup with Argentina if they can get past Holland later. I always had the feeling that Brazil wouldn't win it this year even though they were the bookie's favourite from even before the tournament started.
I just couldn't believe it, Croatia could have won it in 90 minutes with that missed opportunity, Croatia really played well right from the very start, its really well deserved,

Brazil should never have been the faves really (easy to say in hindsight of course) but aside from one good half against South Korea they've been average beyond belief all tournament.

Croatia are that cockroach that you simply cannot kill off, incredible stuff really. Their only shot on target was the goal.

It really could be a France Croatia rematch actually which would be mad. Would be the first time since the 1986 and 1990 world cups.

1-0 up with three minutes of extra time to go and getting caught in a position where the opposition attack 4 on 4, then your best penalty taker not taking one. I'd be fuming if that was England tomorrow and then they left Harry Kane to last. Woeful stuff, great win for Croatia.

Argentina winning would categorically settle the GOAT debate. But I wouldn't rule out the Dutch, could be another tournament with a fully European SF line-up.

Brazil should've never started the penalty with young players...

But congratulations to Croatia!

It's so dumb when managers think they're smarter than everyone by having their best players wait until fifth...no, it is always important on the big stage when everyone is nervous and the success rate of each kick drops considerably compared to non-competitive matches or during regulation time. You haver to get off to a good start, that is of paramount importance so you put pressure on the other team to keep up with you. Not having Neymar step up and take the first kick for Brazil was ridiculous.

Maybe Neymar himself wanted to take the fifth? I bet his ego demanded to take the fifth and potentially winning kick.

Also I don't even think his penalty record is that great so he could have well have missed anyway.

Brazil were false favourites, played well in patches but their squad is so weird. Not sure why everyone thought they had the best squad coming in to the tournament. Can't believe they let that one get in to penalties after Neymar's goal - totally criminal.

The fact they lost the Copa just last year to Argentina should have given people clues but the bookies always have Brazil as favs until they go out!

Amazing Croatian team!

HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?!

HOW

HOWWWW?!?!

FIEST SPAIN LOSES AND NOW BRAZIL?! NOOOOO! NO NOOOOOOO!! MAKE IT MAKE SENSE OMG

WHO'S NEXT TO FALL, ARGENTINA?! At thus rate, the terrible teams like England will get through to the final!

They've only lost 4 matches since the beginning of 2019 (something like 34-4-10) so the rankings say they're #1 in the world. Granted, it could be argued they don't play against European competition in competitive matches between World Cups, but they also don't play in qualifying groups with the like of Faroe Islands, San Marino, or Liechtenstein. I would say in at least 75% of their matches, they play top countries. Even when they play the lower ranked teams in South America, such as Chile or Paraguay, those two would challenge to win most European qualifying groups that the top European team gets to coast through and rack up great results.

Either way, rankings are hard to read for those factors, but the bookies have to look at some stats as well as they amount of talent from European club teams the Brazilian squad has. I would just say at this point, Brazil should have won at least 1 World Cup since 2002, if not multiple, but they're getting the title of 'choke artists' more than anything. It's not because they're being ranked too highly, if you ask me.
