Madonna's version isn't very good. Kylies was indeed never an official single, just a b side back in the day to please stay but it has surprised everyone by doing so well. Im not a huge fan of the song in general no matter what version.

December 18, 20222 yr Kylie's version is the still the most successful alongside Eartha’s original. Plenty of others have recorded it. I’ve always liked it, it’s different…so many modern Christmas pop songs are derivative of each other.

I'd say Eartha's of course is the ultimate version, but Kylie's a close second. Madonna's doesn't really register for whatever reason. I guess the chipmunk vocals are too much for most? Kylie's version probably does well because it's essentially an updated version of the original but with modern mastering and sound engineering, which makes it sound less old/clearer than Eartha's.
