Madonna’s version was on a charity album not released as a single , no video made. Never performed.

The list is endless.

I don't think Kylie's version has ever been released as an official single either, but she has certainly embraced the track a lot more than Madonna did.

Also... Madonna's version isn't very good.

Madonna did the comedir route not sexual , quite rare for her

Kylies was indeed never an official single, just a b side back in the day to please stay but it has surprised everyone by doing so well.

Im not a huge fan of the song in general no matter what version.

Uhmm Eartha Kitt's version is the most definitive (197 million listens on Spotify)

That's barely more than Kylie's, c'mon.

As for Madonna's version of this, let's not speak of that again.

The Madonna version used to pick up plenty of radio play in the 90s….love Madonna but her version is not the best and as has been stated it’s never been revisited.
Is Kylie's the definitive version? I thought it was clearly Eartha Kitts version? Either way its one of the worse Christmas "classics" for me.

Kylie's version is the still the most successful alongside Eartha’s original. Plenty of others have recorded it.

I’ve always liked it, it’s different…so many modern Christmas pop songs are derivative of each other.

Is Kylie's the definitive version?

It's the one that gets streamed the most.

because it's on playlists, but the doesn't make it the definitive version... who searches for it? no one

^ You could say the same about ANY song.

Kylie's version started gaining popularity with iTunes though (first charting in 2007) and not via streaming.

I'd say Eartha's of course is the ultimate version, but Kylie's a close second. Madonna's doesn't really register for whatever reason. I guess the chipmunk vocals are too much for most? Kylie's version probably does well because it's essentially an updated version of the original but with modern mastering and sound engineering, which makes it sound less old/clearer than Eartha's.

The vocals on Madonna’s version are terrible. Kylie’s version was always miles better.
