I can think of plenty of people on student radio who would do a much better job, this is just shoddy

The female presenter sounds very fake whilst the male presenter sounds clueless at what he's doing. I suppose it must be terrifying stepping up to broadcasting at this scale
Our Frank Sinatra of the 21st century zzzzzzzzzzzz
its better than paul mccartneys one at least but still not great

Having your toenails individually yanked out with pliers is better than Paul McCartney's one.

Biography

The Ronettes (/rɒˈnɛts/) were an American girl group from Spanish Harlem, New York. The group consisted of lead singer Veronica Bennett (later known as Ronnie Spector), her older sister Estelle Bennett, and their cousin Nedra Talley. They had sung together since they were teenagers, then known as "The Darling Sisters". Signed first by Colpix Records in 1961, they moved to Phil Spector's Philles Records in March 1963 and changed their name to "The Ronettes".

One of the most popular groups of the 1960s, the Ronettes placed nine songs on the Billboard Hot 100, five of which became Top 40 hits. Among their most famous songs are "Be My Baby", "Baby, I Love You", "(The Best Part of) Breakin' Up" and "Walking in the Rain". In 1964, the group released their only studio album, Presenting the Fabulous Ronettes Featuring Veronica. That year, the Rolling Stones were their opening act when they toured the UK. The Ronettes opened for the Beatles on their 1966 US tour, becoming the only girl group to tour with them, before splitting up in 1967. In the 1970s, the group was briefly revived as Ronnie Spector and the Ronettes.

Their song "Be My Baby" was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1999. Rolling Stone ranked their album Presenting the Fabulous Ronettes Featuring Veronica No. 422 on its list of The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. The Ronettes were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2004, and into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2007. - Wikipedia

The male presenter Olly said he was related to Noddy Holder before he played Slade - I thought he was going to say how when the song finished but he has not come back to it.

It's their first time on a major radio station hosting one of the most iconic shows around, cut them some slack! I think they're doing fine, a couple of hiccups aren't a big deal.

Definitely not a fan of this Ronettes song.

NEW PEAK FOR SLEIGH RIDE! :cheer:

Hope it can go top 20 next year!

Nice for Ronettes to get a new peak!
