Also, i've always thought Heidi sounded amazing in her duets with Keisha singing Ugly.

 

I hate seeing people always slamming her or disliking others for still favouring her, like another user said I would absolutely DIE for a 4 piece line-up of Mutya, Keisha, Heidi and Siobhan. I would be in heaven, I will always love Heidi but i'm really glad i've come to appreciate Siobhan now too.

 

 

 

I really wonder what would have happened if the label/team allowed Mutya to take time off after having a baby and reuniting with Mutya and Heidi again. Do you think they would have just stayed together?

 

I also watched an old interview the other day where Heidi and Keisha were discussing Mutya's exit and Heidi said she was closer to Mutya than Keisha was. I was so shocked to hear that!

Oh I loved .Heidi back in the day, her parts were some of my favourites in their songs, so no hate from me intended.

 

A 4 piece show with Mutya, Keisha, Siobhan and Heidi would be great.

I love all Keisha, Siobhan, Mutya and Heidi for different reasons!

 

Keisha is a person who held and still holding the brand together — determined and with a very distinctive voice which defines Sugababes for me.

Siobhan is an amazing songwriter, she started the band and she’s basically the main author of the latest era musically. Immense talent.

Heidi is the essential part of the group’s heritage too, I think she exactly brought all the ingredients for the group to skyrocket to all those number ones. I’m not sure we’d see Sugababes now if it wasn’t for her input back then.

But I think slightly my favourite is Mutya, as I love her chaotic vibe, which is quite similar to mine at times :lol: I love her personality and her voice is by far my favourite.

 

I never minded Amelle and Jade. I kinda pity Jade that she got caught up in this, as I was rooting for her solo. Amelle has a good voice. I think the managers got into her head too much with making her a solo star though, which ended in a disaster for the group and her personally.

Heidi and Mutya change around regularly as being my fave.

 

Right now its Heidi as right now I've been super into the 2.0 albums again and I adore Heidi's middle 8s. Her ending vox on Freak Like Me could well be my fave part of any Sugababes song actually.

 

Then there's Mutya and that smoky yet smooth voice. Just gorgeous.

 

I like all except Jade (not as a person just a Sugababe)

It is easy to forget Jade was a Sugababe.

I feel really sorry for Jade, to be honest. She's a nice girl and it's not really her fault, it must have been a traumatising experience. Although it was very clear to see there was no way they'd survive becoming 3 entirely different girls to the original line-up though, I still to this day am amazed at the ridiculousness of that.

When I saw Aladdin in London in 2016 Jade was playing Jasmine. She was really good.

There is nothing wrong with Jade at all BUT by the time she came about, it may as well have been a different girl group entirely.

 

No shade in that either, About a Girl is still a brilliant song.

Agreed. About A Girl is one of the better songs on Sweet 7.

This is actually a very interesting question that I have been thinking about quite a lot the last few days. I just don't think I can chose between Mutya, Keisha and Siobhan. For the longest time, I would have said Siobhan as I think her solo material is just utterly brilliant and she has brought such an uniqueness to the group. At the same time both Mutya and Keisha are so so strong. Mutya's vocals are on another level, it's such a shame she never got the chance to do more solo works as I think she could have done something brilliant. And Keisha IS the Sugababes.

It is nice to see Siobhan get recognition a bit more widely now.

 

It’s a shame her solo music never took off.

She deserves her flowers in the pouring rain

 

Ghosts is still lightyears ahead of what others are putting out now and it’s criminal she never got the sales and recognition she deserved for that masterpiece

For me I think Ghosts is the the album that hurts the most out of any I love in terms of chart success. (Or lack there of). Deserved so, so much better.

I remember in the 3.0 "era" that a lot of people would claim she was her favourite and she was "much livelier" performer than Mutya, but I wonder how much of that was more a "f Mutya for leaving" versus genuine affection? It's weird when you think that she was clearly primed for solo stardom during the early Sweet 7 era before the Keisha mess and is the only one with a solo number one single.

 

I assume Jade got a bunch of pity / "for-the-lulz" votes, because no matter how talented she is she's just not a Sugababe.

Yeah I think with Amelle she’s just ‘there’ in a sense.

 

People have strong favouritism towards Mutya, Keisha, Siobhan and also Heidi. Amelle is probably one that people would put in the 3-5 part of the rank.

Until everything went absolutely pear shaped, Amelle was my favourite of 3.0 and still is my favourite of 4.0 but that’s almost by default tbh. But I think that has more to do with an under appreciation of Keisha’s role and how essential that she is to the band and is the foundation that the band is built upon. Something I didn’t truly get until she was forced out and you heard exactly what it was like without her.

 

 

But I guess I’m surprised that there aren’t any 3.0 Stans about that would consider Amelle to be the best.
