It’s about the age and the fact that it’s already peaked and if it does get reset, for what? A few more weeks in the top 40? This goes to show he’s milking the song. If Bloody Mary gets a reset, that’s fair enough because it hasn’t reached the top 40 at all and same goes with Sure Thing. I don’t mind Tom re-entering as long as he stays on ACR. I’d rather see it in the top 40 on ACR than out the top 40 on SCR

Really though, if Tom/his label wanted the track reset it would've been done by now surely.

I get Hadjis point about not repeaking but it might this week so we shall wait and see. Another Love is a much bigger song than its original chart run suggests tho which happens a lot as time goes one so glad it’s getting a longer chart run overall.

I see Hadji's New Year's resolution wasn't to come up with any new material then...

 

(Also even by your own logic, it looks like he does have a chance of reaching a new peak now. And for about the 10th time, he is not even on the label that released 'Another Love' any more, if anyone is "milking it" (they're not, it's just a popular song that continues to be popular, shock) it's not him)

 

Would love it if 'Another Love' could still get a new peak. Lol at The Killers actually climbing again today, not a flop after all :cheeseblock: also cool to see 'Just Wanna Rock' still peaking, hope that can go top 40 this week, it was just about in the top 40 when excluding Christmas songs for a couple of weeks last month iirc.

Sweater Weather has never been top 40 so I wouldn’t mind that getting a reset

SW being #32 on the list of most-streamed songs of all time on Spotify and never going top 40 in the UK just shows how bizarre the OCC rules are sometimes.

I think it would only have gone top 40 fairly recently (if at all) even in a world with no ACR to be fair!

 

edit: Julian's estimates still only give it a #41 peak to date - they're not official so possible it could have barely scraped the top 40 for real in its peak week but they won't be far out

It's a slow burner yes, and for once it was US that did an indie song a justice (it peaked #13 there)
