This take on 'Children' is unsurprisingly dreadful. Don't be a hit please.

I think Dot Rotten did a better job of murdering "Children" back in 2012

(I actually quite liked 'Overload' - although there was another song that sampled 'Children' which was even worse than this Switch Disco one, Tyga's '$timulated' :puke: thankfully never a hit in the UK)

Children like Blue (Da Ba Dee) and Sweet Like Chocolate seems to be contractually shit on every few years.

 

Although I wasn't aware that Tyga had sampled it until now and I don't intend to listen to that.

I think Overload was just following a brief trend started by Sway- Still Speedin' in creating a dubstep/hip hop hybrid song out of sampling a dance music classic.

 

I miss dubstep in the charts though :(

OK, I guess it does have some dubstep of the more dub influenced variety. Its a bit too minimalist for my tastes though.

12 months ago would have been much bigger news but ArrDee has just dropped another 7pm premier for 'Loser'. No big sample/interpolation but track ain't bad. Some 'Middle Child' type brass in the background.

That is a super annoying NMF position for Laroi, I had a feeling the intro might steal some of the impact playlist-wise last week despite it literally being labelled "intro" :drama:
Considering that her album is out on March 10, Flowers can get 12 weeks (ending in early April), but of course anything can happen. These new releases are not going to challenge.
