:hi: it's my turn to present a album pick of the week and for my first pick I'll be heading to dance with DJ Sammy and his 2002 album Heaven which of course brings the song title which was a huge classic #1 and the memorable follow ups 'Boys of Summer' and 'Sunlight'. This wasn't my original dance pick as that'd be an artist a lot of Buzzjack loathes :kink: so decided to play it safe with an act that most appreciate and 'Heaven' did do well in the Survivor it was in as well.

 

There will be a listen through of the album like there has been with the past two which should be taking place likely on either Wednesday or Friday (not too sure yet). We will have to double check cause of other listening events happening on the forum too. I'll edit in a link to the album on Spotify tomorrow!

 

Also I don't own this album so it's a discovery for me too.. well I've listened to it already this past week to get a feeling already but when I picked it first hand I mean. You'll be pleased to know there's some lush ambient sounds in it AND a identical sounding song to Dario G's 'Sunchyme' if that's intriguing to anyone!

Looking forward to this one, the first of our dance albums now we have had a pop and rock albums the last two weeks.

 

Is there much difference between the US and UK albums then? Seems odd to not have the UK one on Spotify.

In response to Wardy - Just one different song and one of the remixes removed too is the only difference along with a slightly re adjusted list. He does have another album there with Greatest but that has 'Why' on it which charted in 2005 lol so I think that's a mix and match rather than an official one.

It is! The Mamas and The Papas did it originally!

Interestingly Jose Feliciano off 'Feliz Nevidad' fame did a cover of this too which is great as is the The Beach Boys version!

I’m expecting it to be a dance version. Although not a dance version I loved Sia’s version from 2015.

I’ve only heard the two first singles so I’m looking forward to the rest!

Oh it would be yeah. The 2nd album I've not heard in full tbh but the quality did dip for me anyway so who knows lol.
