October 5, 2024Oct 5 I was quite mixed on my first listen. I’ve never seen a group this large want to tackle Spa Instrumental Music. What even was that first track. Something somewhere between what I would hear at a Sauna and a Child’s Television show. A few songs were okay, a few sounded like they were building to something that never came. I don’t think I’ve ever been so bored listening to an album this short. The only exciting part I took away from the album was the tracklisting.

October 8, 2024Oct 8 I think there's some really beautiful instrumentals on the album, particularly on the title track (love the lyric "be more like the sky and welcome every kind of weather" too) and the opening minute of 'Aeterna'. I just wasn't grabbed by a lot of the songs themselves. 'We Pray' is really good though and an interesting sound for the band to take; I also think 'Good Feelings' sound like a single and reminiscent of the 'A Head Full of Dreams' sound. I don't think I've ever listened to a full Coldplay album before this one, despite liking a lot of their singles. Perhaps one day I'll devote some time to listening through them all.

November 24, 2024Nov 24 I suspect it would not sell 160k+ in the first week :P Maybe it would eventually, but only because of streams. It probably wouldn’t sell huge amounts in the first week but more likely to continue selling over a longer period. I’ve not bought any of their albums. I like most of their singles but a whole album doesn’t appeal to me. I would love a singles collection one day.

December 20, 2024Dec 20 at least they could have waited until they've done the farewell tour and then announce it :D many bands do that. think i've been to 2 or maybe even 3 A-ha farewell tours :D
