That's a good indicator that she could get her first top 5 album.

I definitely think a Top 5 will be achieved - she will be hammered by lack of streaming as the week progresses but she still has 2 x HMV signings this week plus the Banquet personalised which haven’t been completed/sent yet.

If she gets a top 5 then that is brilliant for her, I was expecting a low top 10 with her possibly just missing it.

She will next to nothing on streaming which will be no surprise so any streaming points at all will be a bonus.

The album is more than likely to miss the top 100 here in Ireland, Golden discs dont even have it on their website which is a bad sign, i wonder is it actually even released here as i bought mine from her store.

I do often wonder what targets labels have with albums like this which essentially are a 1 week wonder and very low casual sales there after. When they give the album the go ahead i wonder are they like it needs to shift .... in week 1 and we need so and so revenue from touring etc.

I don’t think she will give an answer to that. My friend asked it for the article and no definitive answer was given. I think they’re concentrating on the break now.

Claire’s happy with the solo life :smoke: She just needs some decent album sales and a mini tour to keep her going.

She might be happy for now but she knows without Steps it wouldn't have happened and also her future bread and butter is with Steps.

I think Claire loves Steps. What she doesn’t like is dancing, which is a part of it.

 

There are parts of my job I don’t like but overall I love it so I get where she’s coming from really.

That's totally understandable about the dancing and I think a bit like Gary Barlow in Take That she is the member that always struggled the most with the dancing element of her job.

I've bought both (and I did end up buying the CD in the end to help her out too) but I would have liked something from the cutting room floor in the studio, tracks that they tried and didn't make it. Euphoria live from Liverpool is a nice touch as I was in the audience watching that.

I wonder if they’ll find it on to iTunes. I’m guessing nit as the Steps ones never have.

Aww, glad you had a good time. Someone on Popjustice said she's No.2 in the mids, which would be amazing if it can hold up.

 

Solo Summer Night City is SO much better, phew!

 

The new remixes also vastly improve this album. For example, the album version of Never Knew Love Like This Before sounds a bit tame, but the Sudlow remix turns it into a Dina Carroll 1999 style banger.
