Claire has closed the gap on Burna Boy but i doubt will overtake but she should fend of the weeknd to hold number 2.

Banquet haven’t shipped the personally signed stuff yet so don’t count her out yet.

 

I’m not sure what the Liverpool signing was like numbers wise but it wasn’t a sell out as you could buy a copy/wristband on the door (same with Birmingham actually!)

Also they are giving it a big push on socials - Steps posting about it, new competition just announced, there is also a HMV signing in Brighton still to come and the Banquet items to be shipped.

 

How incredible that Claire is fighting for a solo #1.

 

They need to do an Amazon price reduction, the only CD format available on there is the Deluxe for £19.99 which is not a price point that a casual will be tempted by!

The Brighton cd signing might just put her in with a chance of number 1 and hopefully the socials will attract a few sales along with the competition etc, a price reduction could be a good call asap to help last minute sales.

I wondered if they removed the cap for the signings as they knew it was close - I’ve been to HMV signings before where there has been a chart battle and they’ve allowed people to attend last minute to get the extra sales in.

Hopefully they allow that time to get those few extra sales.

I don't think there's a realistic chance of Claire getting to #1 - Burna Boy's streaming sales will increase too much, to an extent that will be greater than Claire's pure sales. He could possibly do another 3,000+ sales from streaming - that's a lot for Claire to overcome when she's over 1,000 behind at this stage. :thinking:

Yes, the deficit is too much but the fact she was even in contention at one point is epic, I was thinking she would enter around #5 with ease, certainly wasn’t expecting her to be challenging for a #2.

 

Steps always seem to be the bridesmaids in chart battles despite the sheer effort they put in - Steps and now Claire really go all out for their album releases.

How many formats is Euphoria available on? 6 physical + 3 digital? That could explain the increase in sales from My Wildest Dreams.

Also the 2nd album is much more aligned to what the Steps fanbase like/expect from a solo member I suspect.
