55. Showtek featuring We Are Loud and Sonny Wilson - Booyah 101pts

Writers - Sjoerd Janssen, Wouter Janssen, Daniël Ortgiess, Björn van den Biggelaar

Top points - Cow Cow 24, coi 24, Daan 19

I hadn't heard this before but I was close to giving it some points. I did find it quite infectious.

Glad you enjoyed the discovery after I gave it a wildcard in the first round! Booyah is such a big high energy banger that puts so many elements together, feels a bit forgotten these days but I still love it, one of the very best songs from the EDM explosion around that time

Worth noting however, that 'Bad' was anything but a minor hit, despite a #22 peak it was a bigger hit than 'Booyah', in terms of streaming and longevity! Of course it helped a lot that David Guetta got the lead billing for that.

I barely remember 'Bad' but pretty sure it was nowhere even close to as good as 'Booyah' so at least the higher peak is deserved x (their third hit I had to look up and truly have no memory of at all)

Disappointing to see that out so early as it's definitely one of the most standout dance hits of recent years (actually maybe getting a bit too old now to call it 'recent' oops). Also lost 'Finesse' from my votes already but not too sad to see that one go, it was the inferior Bruno song here anyway, hopefully '24K Magic' can do a bit better. 'Heathens' was quite close to my votes too, not overly keen / familiar with any of the others.

Shame 'Joan Of Arc' has gone so early. Probably my second favourite OMD record behind 'Walking On The Milky Way'. Somewhat annoying that the other 'Joan Of Arc' record overshadowed this (the lack of a music video probably didn't help) but there you go.

In 1976, Stevie Wonder was already up to his eighteenth album, Songs In The Key Of Life, and this was the lead single from it. I Wish was his eighth top 10 single and fourth US number 1. It wins a tie-break over Angel by 12 votes to 9.

Angel and I Wish so low 😱

Written about Abba's hometown, Stockholm, this 1978 single gave the group their lowest chart peak position for three years. Bjorn and Benny have since said that they regret releasing the song as a single.

46. Avicii - You Make Me 147pts

Writers - Salem Al Fakir, Tim Bergling, Vincent Pontare, Arash Pournouri

Top points - Daan 25, Cow Cow 25, Jason 24

From 2013, this was the second single from Avicii's debut album, True, and his fifth top 5 hit.

Well, I couldn't expect much from this Avicii song. Looking forward to the Ultimate No. 6 next year with Avicii having three songs peaking at that position. I might be or might not be giving one of them wildcard points because there's a classic '60s song I wanted to give it a +30 too!

Edited by Cow Cow

Lost 2 more of my votes but they were only very low down - one of Avicii's best songs for me though (and feels quite underrated in his discog) and 'I Like To Move It' is a bop as well.
