This move definitely makes sense, they might as well strike while the iron is hot as 'Die For You' is riding high in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 but I'm becoming very impatient for a 'Less Than Zero' release now :lol: intrigued to see if she can get another Billboard Hot 100 #1 to her name, if this is as impactful as the 'Save Your Tears' remix.

February 24, 20232 yr Lyric video: YQ-qToZUybM I'm not as crazy about this as I was with the 'Save Your Tears' remix (I do think that is a much better song anyway) but I'm still happy to hear her vocals on something new. I think voice training for Wicked has had a positive effect on her enunciation and the harmonies are lovely. I do wish she had joined in on the final chorus though!

February 24, 20232 yr The Weeknd's solo version debuts in the U.K. top 40 today at #37. I assume Ari won't be getting a credit here in the coming weeks like she didn't with 'Save Your Tears'? Not Jack Saunders saying: "The Weeknd is going to be releasing a remixed version, Ariana Grande has confirmed she's going to be on it" when it's already out :lol: tbf I guess all of the news surrounding it has been a whirlwind, with this thread only being opened on Tuesday.
February 24, 20232 yr I’ve always loved the original version of this but Ariana really adds something to this :wub: The Weeknd is definitely my favourite collaborator of hers (tbh I’m a huge Abel stan so maybe I’m biased but a few of Arianas collaborations could be solo Ariana and bang just as much but her and The Weeknd just blend together so well). I’d love some sort of full length joint project at some point like an EP / a joint tour. But I am enjoying this :heart: wonder how high it can go in the US potential #1. I imagine in the UK too it should at least go top 20 now thanks to Ariana hopefully top ten! Gah just imagine if Love Me Harder dropped now it would easily at least go top 5 here now in the UK :lol: :lol:

Who knows, maybe Ariana will get the opportunity herself one day. Hoping this will provide quite a significant boost! 'Save Your Tears' became a #1 hit / EOY #2 in the U.S. off the back of the remix and here it went from #11 -> #2, so it'd be great if they could replicate even a fraction of that success. That iHeartRadio performance of 'Save Your Tears' was stunning too, probably shouldn't expect a performance for this though with Ari filming and The Weeknd on tour. Don't even get me started on 'Love Me Harder' :cry: at least the U.S. got that one right!

It debuts at #5 on U.K. Spotify but #3 combined with the original. 'Save Your Tears (Remix)' is also getting a boost off the back of this, top 100 global and back in the U.K. top 200.

I guess this has two versions on its side, so it's still #1 combined on U.S. Spotify, but 'Flowers' really is a juggernaut. ~~~ In U.K. news the remix is Radio 1's Hottest Record and has been added to Capital and Kiss' playlists It's growing on me, I didn't hear Starboy in full when it was released so this is basically a new song for me
