February 24, 20233 yr Author So much for 'Weekends' being added this week, were Vick & Jordan just teasing us by making it TOTW last week? :( oh well, hopefully next week. SZA and Ice Spice have belatedly been added to 'Special' and 'Boy's A Liar' respectively, so I guess they've switched to playing those versions. Not sure if they're playing the original Weeknd track though or the remix with Ari? Surprised they've insta-added Jonas Brothers but it does sound good on first listen, hopefully that and it being TOTW bodes well for it being a hit. Also it looks like the future artist feature is back.

February 24, 20233 yr Surely Radio 1 can play multiple versions of a song anyway? I know it's ages ago, but with In For The Kill they played both versions. And with Someone Like You they alternated between the BRITs version and the album version for the first couple of weeks. And with something like Perfect by Ed Sheeran I'm sure they would've played the remixes sometimes, especially when they first came out. So I think whatever version of a song they have on their playlist, it doesn't mean they're not playing other versions sometimes.

February 24, 20233 yr Periodic reminder to Steve that Google exists :P Seems a little odd that they waited until now to playlist 'Die For You' and added it to the B-List but it's still only the solo version - maybe Ariana will be added in a week or two like they have done with 'Boy's a liar' and 'Special'. A meh week of additions out of the ones I've heard anyway, hopefully the beabadoobee song might be good though. Happy to see slowthai on the playlist again I guess but unfortunately not a big fan of this song, I suppose it's more radio friendly than 'Selfish' though so fair enough at this being the one pushed. Also lol at the Introducing song being something that has already gone top 40 :') Yay for Lizzy moving to the A-List though!

February 27, 20233 yr R1 have supported Pink for over 20 years and many eras, they want to play and find the new versions of Pink like Casseyette etc that’s all.
