This doesn’t really do much for me. I can’t see it being a hit for her.

Love this, so good to hear her voice. Do I think it will do well? Probably not, if she got top 40 with this it would be an achievement being an independent artist. But the song itself is beautiful.

Love that you enjoy it, seeing a lot of love on ATRL and twitter too! Agreee, Top 40 would be incredible for her as an independent artist!

I think it's actually quite nice! It showcases her vocals really well.

 

It's definitely not a hit though.

I actually prefer 'Boyz', at least that was somewhat catchy. This song is so nothingy, yet I feel myself getting annoyed at various elements. Her vocal is annoying, the lyrics are trite and, I'm sorry to say, I'm cynical about the collaboration with Women's Aid - not suggesting at all that Jesy doesn't care or anything, but I don't think she would be working with them if she hadn't messed up her first single and her public perception wasn't at an all time low.

Yeah, it's crazy that Boyz is better....

She grew up in an abusive household, she’s even said this is based on her mom and dad.

People were going to dislike the song from the get go and not everyone has the same tastes and that is fine.

I think Boyz was probably a bit more "instant" than this, what with the sample and it being quite so in your face.

 

Bad Thing kind of just washed over me when I listened to it. Certainly not a song I would be rushing back to, but glad she isn't getting the same level of hate now and hopefully she has softened her appeal to the public.

I loved Boyz , this is very different!

This is nice enough, like she actually sounds decent but it just goes nowhere for me and find it pretty nothingy. Would've made a decent album track, really don't think this is the kind of thing she should be putting out tbh.

I’m starting to think this is more of a palette cleanser after the last single, as she’s already got a video for ‘Cried Out’ filmed and it is an upbeat song with choreo.

 

I really do wonder what her expectations are for this song..

I really like it! its not catchy like boyz was, but its very elegant and lovely. its reminding me a bit of no time to die by billie eilish!

It’s lovely to hear the vulnerability of her voice. I’m not mad on the song, but I’m so glad she’s releasing music that is meaningful to her!

Not her biggest fan, but this is a HUGE improvement on the first single! Very good on first listen, her vocals sound great!
