Yesss!!

They’ve also added Tom Grennan - Here as well

Oh and they’ve added switch disco & Ella Henderson too!

I wonder if Can’t Tame Her can manage to go top 25? Should manage a new peak this week regardless
ED Sheeran and his team panicking.. not them releasing a piano version today and promoting heavily on social media... interesting that Flowers surpassed Miracle again on spotify.. flowers may just get a 11th week next week if Ed takes it this week.

hopefully that's a signal for Team Calvin to release this 'church version' that has been teased of Miracle on Friday, not that I expect that will do amazingly but every little helps if it's getting close to matching Flowers' sales.

It's funny that when Ed does it it's desperate but when other do it it's not

Jimin has 5 versions of their track out are they desperate too

Tell me about it  it’s hard work reading the threads this week!

Not really; Sunday streams don't favour dance tracks

Let’s not make out they are comparable here. Jimin hardly has a big chart history, nor do they have easy access to playlist and radio support.

Ed is a globally successful artist with no issue getting radio/playlist support, but Ed/the label can’t settle for anything less than #1. People would be making the same comments if it was The Weeknd, Beyoncé, Adele etc doing the discounts and multiple versions week one.

Happy to see Can’t Tame Her starting to getting some Spotify support. Taken long enough!

It's exactly comparable though doesn't really matter that ones more successful than the other , it's the exact same tactic both releasing multiple versions,

Also your point is kinda mute on the label can't settle for less than number 1 they barely tried with his last song F64 and that entered at number 50

The difference is one doesn’t need to use those tactics to chart. That is what ruffles feathers.

F64 was a tribute release so was never intended for anything - if anything it would have been distasteful to the message of the song to do so. Even then, he still scraped top 50 with minimal push - acts like Jimin could not.

Most of the artists just release songs, shoot a video and leave it there - maybe do a remix at some point. Label does the usual promo and the song charts wherever it charts, it could be #1, top 5, top ten, top 40. Not a big deal.

Ed Sheeran, on the other hand, tries to make a non top 10 single a #1 with special gimmicks just to have more #1's (see the Taylor duet from the previous album). Most artists never bother as they know it doesn't change a thing in the big picture.

That was a post album single so not exactly new to release a new version? A higher charting single promotes the album better!

To be honest as a neurodivergent person, I find whatever Big Hit is doing much more reprehensible. It's exploiting obsessive compulsive behaviour (which is more common for NDs) and fandom good will by shovelling out endless versions of everything they put out that they know will all get purchased. Reminds me a lot of the genuinely evil 'whale' concept in mobile gaming.

(This also applies to the vinyl format business model).
