*Sigh* shame she cannot repeat the same success.

This!

She definitely would have had a longer/more consistent career if it wasn’t for the terrible record labels she always ended up with - MCA didn’t know what to do when the 2nd album failed, London Records folded at the height of her success and AATW didn’t know how to market a female ‘pop’ act rather than faceless dance acts.

It's a huge shame she couldn't have built on the success of neon Nights, if it had happened she would have had a much more impressive discography.

The latest actual sales for NN are 107k (2018), in 2009 it was actually just over 100k (101k), so the constant reissues helped. I think pre-X-Factor reissues it was just under 100k.

Correct, 'Neon Nights' wasn't in the Top 200 albums of 2003 and the cut off for that was 94k (interesting to see Kylie's 'Fever' sold 95k in 2003 despite not getting higher than #56 that year) . It's true to say that whilst it was definitely a big success in the context of Dannii's career, it was more a moderate success within the music industry as a whole.
