March 10, 20233 yr Author  Future chart hit? Miley Cyrus River 2nd single from Endless Summer Vacation Released: 10th March 2023 Label: Smiley Miley Video v_4fljfr2r4 Biography “I think there’s a time in every artist’s life [when] they have to do something that isn’t for fans, isn’t for success, isn’t for touring,” Miley Cyrus told Apple Music in 2018. Cyrus could’ve been speaking about any number of moments from her profoundly varied career. Born Destiny Hope Cyrus—the daughter of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus—in Tennessee in 1992, the innovative artist has hardly stayed in one lane for more than a single album since she broke from the bubblegum pop that catapulted her to stardom as Disney’s Hannah Montana. Her 2009 summer anthem “Party In the U.S.A.” earned her a rapid ascent within the pop world, where 2013’s Bangerz—which showcased her musical maturity with “Wrecking Ball” and experimented with elements of Dirty South hip-hop—made her an icon. Vocal about her pansexuality and love for marijuana, Cyrus has worked hard to shed her wholesome teen image, and simultaneously defied odds by earning a reputation for an intense work ethic and an unshakable self-assuredness. She headed to left-field with the psych-tinged 2015 album Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz, a collaboration with members of The Flaming Lips, and with 2017’s Younger Now, a countrified pop offering that featured godmother Dolly Parton. And she's teamed up with rappers Mike Will Made It and will.i.am, Sarah Barthel of electronic rock group Phantogram, and, in 2018, Mark Ronson for the dramatic hit single “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart.” Those frequent partnerships have been major catalysts in the creation of Cyrus' diverse catalog and in the cementing of her status as a pop pace-setter by refusing to let it, or herself, be easily defined. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 2007 43 The Best Of Both Worlds (Hannah Montana) -OST- 2008 11 See You Again -1- 2008 25 7 Things -1- 2009 16 Fly On The Wall -2- 2009 11 The Climb -OST- 2009 18 Hoedown Throwdown -OST- 2009 78 Butterfly Fly Away -OST- 2009 90 Ice Cream Freeze (Let's Chill) (Hannah Montana) -OST- 2009 11 Party In The USA -1- MILLIONAIRE 2010 79 When I Look At You -2- 2010 13 Can't Be Tamed -1- 2010 93 Ordinary Girl (Hannah Montana) -OST- 2013 34 Fall Down (will.i.am feat. March 10, 20233 yr Author  Future chart hit? Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding Miracle Non-album single Released: 10th March 2023 Label: Sony Music Entertainment UK Video dGEk2VI_m_U Biography Calvin Harris Talk about an unexpected career trajectory. In 2007, 23-year-old Calvin Harris released I Created Disco, a cheeky shot across dance music’s bow that presented him as Scotland’s brow-arched answer to LCD Soundsystem. Fast-forward a few years, and the scruffy fellow playing house-party host in the “Merrymaking at My Place” video is suddenly baring oil-slicked abs on Emporio Armani billboards. What happened, of course, is that Harris (born Adam Richard Wiles in 1984) traded up from the Amiga computer of his teens, developed some of the best studio chops in the business with deep-house rollers like 2013's “Thinking About You”, and helped spark EDM’s pop crossover with hits for Rihanna, Florence Welch, Ellie Goulding and others. Along the way, he became one of the 2010s’ first DJ/producer/songwriter polymaths to earn top billing even on the songs in which he didn’t sing. No stranger to pyro-lit main stages—his percussive, synth-strafed 2014 single “C.U.B.A.” is big-room house at its most gargantuan—Harris has resisted getting boxed into any one sound. On 2017’s Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1, he lays down a set of slinky R&B jams for Frank Ocean, Migos and Young Thug, while the 2018 singles “Promises”, with Sam Smith, and “One Kiss”, with Dua Lipa, proved just how versatile his vision of pop can be. - Apple Music Ellie Goulding Ellie Goulding's breakthrough was nothing if not decisive. She rose to stardom in 2010 with her debut album, Lights, which earned the Critics’ Choice prize at the Brit Awards and led the BBC’s “Sound of…” poll. She’s only the second artist to win both in the same year, sharing the honour with none other than Adele. The Hereford-born singer started performing and composing as a young girl, influenced by the likes of Joni Mitchell and Kate Bush, then teamed with Lights producer Starsmith while still a student at the University of Kent. The collaboration helped elevate Goulding’s natural talents as a singer-songwriter, turning her into an electropop phenom as she blended acoustic guitars and dance-floor-ready beats on “Starry Eyes” and the Bjork-evoking “Under the Sheets”. Her biggest moment came in 2015 with “Love Me Like You Do”, the power ballad from the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack that sold millions and cemented her as a world-class pop star. In addition to going platinum with her albums Halcyon and Delirium, Goulding’s versatility with genres and lyricism has made her an in-demand collaborator, working on “Return to Love” with classical tenor Andrea Bocelli, the club hit "I Need Your Love" with producer Calvin Harris and the 2019 break-up anthem "Hate Me" with Juice WRLD. What’s next for Goulding’s career? To quote the title of another of her 2012 hits, “anything could happen.” - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History Calvin Harris 2007 10 Acceptable In The 80s -1- 2007 03 The Girls -2- 2007 43 Merrymaking At My Place -3- 2008 01 Dance Wiv Me (Dizzee Rascal feat. March 10, 20233 yr 'Midnight Sky' really deserved the 8 weeks imo :P So did, but I'm not mad. I think it paved the way for this.
March 10, 20233 yr Given Boy’s A Liar’s huge Spoti numbers it does raise the question of whether free streams should really have a 6x lower weighting than premium. I agree with them having a lower weighting but it’s starting to feel like it really counts against certain acts.
March 10, 20233 yr shame, flowers is soooo boring. ill listen to the album, hopefully there'll be something more interesting Flowers is one of my least faves! I think youll like the album.

March 10, 20233 yr BOO at PinkPantheress missing out on #1! :nocheer: Sick of stuff staying at the top for weeks and weeks on end. I think it could happen again with either Ed or Calvin & Ellie too soon.
March 10, 20233 yr Oh Morgan Wallen getting a top 100 hit this era after all. No Sleeep found reeling. 'Last Night' is annoyingly earwormy (I only listened to it once weeks ago and I still occasionally have it stuck in my head including right now lol) and not really even a country song beyond the accent so I'm not surprised at it having some crossover success. Don't be a big hit tho pls. x I see his album stayed #40 all week somehow too!
March 10, 20233 yr Now I have actually heard it I can comfortably say that Caity Baser song is dreadful as expected. It's like a Kate Nash song with 10x the obnoxiousness and none of the charm. Also reminds me of Loveable Rogues - What A Night!
March 11, 20233 yr Fantastic that Miley beat PinkPantherness to the #1 spot and overtaken 'Bleeding Love' for the longevity at #1 now for Miley to beat Tones & I's undeserved record which Rihanna has actually, Not Tones & I.
March 11, 20233 yr now for Miley to beat Tones & I's undeserved record which Rihanna has actually, Not Tones & I. ??? Why does Rihanna have it actually?
