March 19, 20232 yr I've gone for Some Kind of Bliss. Its poor chart performance was so unjust. It was a change of direction for her but it was a genuinely good song and didn't deserve such a poor reaction as the lead single. So truly under-rated at the time.
March 20, 20232 yr The whole album is underrated tbh so it’s hard to pick one but I guess SKOB - it got trashed by the media and the MSP association despite being a radio friendly, indie pop anthem. The thing I find most shocking about SKOB is just how much it underperformed - there were 11 new entries ahead of it, but I guess the events of the time people were looking for more somber music?
March 20, 20232 yr Some kind of bliss was a huge shock when i saw that chart, i was just gutted at the time, and even more so because actually loved it and still do,
March 22, 20232 yr Author Some Kind of Bliss is a very good shout, but I’m going with Drunk. Can’t believe it only placed 9th in the survivor! :drama:
March 22, 20232 yr 'Jump', it's amazing and doesn't get the love it deserves. Its placing in the survivor was a crime.
March 22, 20232 yr Limbo for me. I wish more people knew it existed. It’s such an unexpected style for Kylie but doesn’t seem at all forced. It shows a darker, more expressive side to her. And the vocals are sublime.
March 22, 20232 yr Some Kind Of Bliss! Definitely deserves to be much bigger than it is, one of my favourite Kylie songs. It has such a nostalgic classic sound but I didn't even know it existed until just under 2 years ago. I guess it's just a bonus track really but This Girl is massively underrated too, absolutely done dirty in the survivor here. Too Far seems to be a relative fan fave but obviously very underrated by the GP who I don't think would expect that sound from her at all, it's the song I always show people who only know her 80s hits and CGYOOMH!
March 24, 20232 yr Limbo for me. I wish more people knew it existed. It’s such an unexpected style for Kylie but doesn’t seem at all forced. It shows a darker, more expressive side to her. And the vocals are sublime. I agree i wish many more knew about limbo and all the songs, i would have liked to have seen more from kylie on the lines of songs like limbo, i think it really suited her.
