My favourite from 3 of her albums (Mr Perfectly Fine from Fearless, seven from folklore and rwylm from evermore) out in those last 2 sections

Style, I Did Something Bad, The Very First Night and Ready For It are my other favourites but I love SYGB and Cold As You too and so glad to see those higher up, 100% agreed that they’re underrated gems :cheeseblock:

#50-#41

50. Forever & Always (Fearless) - lol at this blocking the piano version from top 50, what a bop and album highlight though

49. no body, no crime (ft. HAIM) (evermore) - an evermore highlight and I love HAIM's contributions on this track, also love the country storytelling lyrics

48. Mean (Speak Now) - This was also top 3 on SN for me when I was younger, what an absolute yeehaw bop, an iconic video (Joey King!), and great lyrics, what a bop.

47. Better Man (Red) - Another great vault track, honestly some of her best lyrics ever (probs top 15 lyrically) and so stunning. Kinda wish the TV version was more similar in production/length to the Little Big Town version! I think I fell in love with their version so much that by the time this was released, obviously I love hearing Taylor's version but both are slays.

46. Should've Said No (Taylor Swift) - The highest from self-titled, that chorus goes off and what a classic, the Bad Blood rep tour mashup with this gave me life

45. Treacherous (Red) - Wasn't massive on this on initial release but goddamn it hit me eventually, what a fantastic song and that last minute is genius

44. Better Than Revenge (Speak Now) - If she dares changes a lyric on this track for TV we will riot. Sometimes one's gotta love a slightly anti-feminist BOP (Misery Business teas *.*). What a banger of a pop-rock track that I can still listen to on repeat & get my life everytime

43. Sparks Fly (Speak Now) - Ugh this album is such a classic, drop everything now indeed. Still slaps everytime I hear it.

42. Would've Could've Should've (Midnights) - easily the highlight of the 3am tracks! Lyrically fantastically and I love this little Happier Than Ever-esque gem in her discography

41. Getaway Car (reputation) - kinda surprised I didn't sneak this into my top 40! What an absolute gem with fab 80s-like production and an epic bridge! Masterpiece. Very unlucky to miss my top 40, my 40th placer nearly missed the top 40 due to the horrible Taylor Version, but I have too many precious memories of the original for that song not to be top 40!

Songs from each album in the top 40:

Red: 7/31

1989: 6/17

folklore: 5/17

Fearless: 4/26

Midnights: 4/23

Lover: 3/18

Speak Now: 3/19

evermore: 2/17

Non-Album Songs: 2/22

Taylor Swift: 0/14

The Taylor Swift Holiday Collection: 0/6

(Speak Now includes If This Was a Movie, The Hunger Games tracks I'm counting on Red, 1989 includes Bad Blood Remix, All of the Girls... is included in non-album tracks)

Kinda surprised at some of this!

Shocked Speak Now has that little! Though ig if its top 50 it is top 3 with the most songs! Red, Fearless and Midnights all being higher than where I'd have them in my album rankings, but I guess alongside their filler all have crazy career highs!

Another 2 of my album faves gone there  WCS is a masterpiece (probably top 10 of her discography for me) and i’m glad it made your top 50 at least <3

40. We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together (Red) - What a classic and I have such fond memories of the video, a timeless bop. Though Taylor's Version is highkey horrible so I haven't been going back to this as often lately.

39. You Belong With Me (Fearless) - Another classic single bop + iconic video, what a 10/10 stomper

38. Breathe (Fearless) - Such an underrated beauty in her discography, fab lyrics + beautiful melody

37. Haunted (Speak Now) - Masterpiece and I wish she had more songs like this, the dramatic pop-rock production with strings works so incredibly well

36. The Moment I Knew (Red) - Another one on Red that didn't fully hit me until a few years after the album came out, but when it did it hit. Love the lyrics and melody, the chorus and bridge are stunning

35. Blank Space (1989) - Another timeless classic, one of her best videos & this is just pure pop perfection

34. You're On Your Own, Kid (Midnights) - That bridge is godly, another fantastic song x

33. Snow On The Beach (ft. Lana Del Rey) (Midnights) - Can't believe we actually got a collab between my two faves that still feels unreal!!! And yeah it pretty much lived up to my expectations, a perfect winter song

32. My Tears Ricochet (folklore) - another folklore masterpiece, fantastic lyrics and a haunting melody, one of her best track 5's

31. You're Not Sorry (Fearless) - What an underrated gem and this really should be a fan favourite, the lyrics are so so good and its such a stunning & heartbreaking ballad

30. Call It What You Want (Reputation) - Maybe should've been a couple places lower but what an absolute gem this was and an utter beauty on reputation <3 love the lyrics and final chorus

29. the last great American dynasty (folklore) - One of my favourite Taylor bridges and a perfect example of fantastic storytelling throughout a song, so many iconic lyr5ics here

28. I Know Places (1989) - The underrated GEM of 1989, love the production and everything about this song, its always given me Haunted part. 2 vibes.

27. Cornelia Street (Lover) - One of the runaway top 3 songs on Lover, delicate part. 2 slaps and is such a gorgeous beauty.

26. I Knew You Were Trouble (Red) - What a classic banger and massive hit, I adore the BRITS/Tour live version of this and its aged great for me

25. Sweeter Than Fiction (non-album) - Contender for the most underrated song in her discography?? This is just pure-pop heaven with an irresistible chorus and catchy production. So underrated and I love it. Glad its somehow not been completely forgotten, just because it was the first song she worked on with Jack Antonoff.

24. Love Story (Fearless) - Listening to this now and yep it still slaps x The song that introduced me to Taylor and made me an immediate stan, and I've never looked back since *.* Will always remain a classic forever and this song means so much to me <3 And on that note, Fearless is OUT.

23. exile (ft. Bon Iver) (folklore) - Another folklore masterpiece, and Justin + Taylor's voice works perfectly, the lyrics are gorgeous and heartbreaking, and yep what a song

22. Christmas Tree Farm (non-album) - the new best xmas song :cheeseblock: The amount of joy I get out of this track every couple of months each year is insane, love how catchy the melody is and the final chorus is fabulous, can't wait to start spamming it again soon x And that is the non-albums songs OUT (now that one of them is on Red TV technically x)

21. willow (evermore) - Another fabulous lead single that really stuck with me overtime, such a gorgeous melody and the progression throughout the song is beautiful <3 a perfect song to encapsulate the evermore era and yep another timeless masterpiece <3

Will comment properly another time, but YESSS at 'Haunted'. But 'Change' walked so 'Haunted' could run!

20. Anti-Hero (Midnights) - It's me hi... I am back again. Another slay of a lead single and this is really just pure pop perfection, still haven't tired of it one bit.

19. Out Of The Woods (1989) - One of her best bridges ever, the way I scream it every time I hear this song. Perfect production, perfect vocals, one of her best and most underrated videos (the imagery is STUNNING), the live version slaps, a masterpiece.

18. Lover (Lover) - What a stunning masterpiece, some of my favourite Taylor lyrics and this gets the perfect blend of writing about a perfect love, without getting too sickly. The bridge is fab, I love the melody of the song, another great video.

17. State Of Grace (Red) - Her most effective album opener! Takes you into Red so perfectly and I NEED an album in this style, the production melody is perfect and ugh the storytelling here... perfection.

16. Cruel Summer (Lover) - I love that when I started this countdown, this was just an absolute album track gem that was slept on. And look where we are now!!! I cannot believe this is a smash hit single now but its so so deserved!! That bridge is magic, the whole song is just pure bliss, perfect for all seasons (esp summer ofc), and this is one of her most perfectly crafted pop songs. Its my most played song of 2023, and I think this would probably be top 10 for me now if I was to redo this! Anyway that's Lover out x

15. Karma (Midnights) - And that's also Midnights out! And this is another song that wasn't a single when I started this!! Such a perfect carefree BOP and ANTHEM, I love the bridge and that chorus + production is irresistible, a sing-a-long anthem that was my most played song of last year and is only 2nd to the song above it this year. Anyway that's Midnights out x

14. Wildest Dreams (1989) - I still adore it but this has fallen out of my top 10 now. I obviously love how Lana-ish it is, the video is iconic, her vocals are gorgeous and the lyrics are beautiful. Always a masterpiece. (If only the video version edit of the song was available on streaming, cos the way the last chorus explodes whew, would probs be enough to return it to the top 10)

13. New Romantics (1989) - Yep just another perfect pop perfection. I cannot believe this was only a bonus track!!!! The production is incredible, the ah-ah-ah-ah explosion into that pure magic chorus, the verses are so catchy, my absolute go to pure pop anthem to put me into a good mood and have a celebration.

12. Red (Red) - Along with CS, I think this is the other song in this section that is challenging my top 10. Its always been a massive favourite of mine, but I cannot stop listening to Taylor's Version of this!!! Ugh she kept the original magic and idk what she put it in, but somehow its even better, the best re-recorded song so far. The lyrics are fab and yeah this is perfection once again.

11. champagne problems (evermore) - My go to song to sob at. Some of her best lyrics of all time, and probably a top 5 bridge?! The way her storytelling here with the soft vocals just destroys me every single time. Whew, a masterpiece. the best song on evermore <3

Top 10 later today FINALLY! Predict away! 4 lead singles. 1 soundtrack. 2 viral album tracks. 1 non viral album track. 1 post-album single. 1 that combines two versions.

Banger after banger after Karma after banger!

What a section! If I remember later after work, I shall properly comment!

the red appreciation :cheeseblock: that song is top 5 in her discography for me  (well tv at least, idk how she made it so much better cos the og version was so bad lmaoooo )

Thanks <3 <3

10. Don't Blame Me (reputation) - The way I stanned this and always said this would have been a smash way before its TikTok success, sometimes its nice to be vindicated! An instant highlight from the second I listened to Rep, that production is godly, it combines the heavier rep production elements with the smooth pop melody perfectly, that bridge whew, Taylor's vocals are insane on this.

9. epiphany (folklore) - EASILY the most underrated Taylor track. This song literally got me through lockdown. The production and Taylor's vocals are both so calmingly beautiful and this song has always given me the vibes of a chiller Mariners Apartment Complex + Frozen. The lyrics hit home so much when it was released and ugh I love this song, I NEED a live performance. This one deserves so much more love.

8. Delicate (Reputation) - Another timeless track from reputation. Unlike Don't Blame Me, this one wasn't as instant for me, and even tho I really liked it from first listen, it was around mid-table in my Rep rankings. However it grew on me so quickly, and by the time it became a single I was OBSESSED. And then obsessed forever when it was a single (I think it spent like 6 months in my personal chart top 10 iirc!). I adore the video, its so underrated and entertaining (and I've also been to the hotel it was filmed at!). The lyrics are fab, I love how the final chorus does the treacherous-switch-up and the lyrics are beautiful. Production great, vocals great, a smash in my heart and chart. Also the SEEB remix is BY FAR the best remix she's ever had released (Wildest Dreams R3hab is the only challenger), that soundtracked my 2018 summer so much.

7. Safe & Sound (ft. Joy Williams & John Paul White or The Civil Wars) (The Hunger Games/Red) - The challenger to epiphany for her most underrated song, tho at least this one has some fans and one live performance. I think this might be Taylor's most beautiful song? It's also definitely her most calming, and is my go-to song if I need to chill out. The lyrics and melody are just ethereal, so so peaceful and I love the lullaby-feel to this song. The harmonies in this track are incredible. The Hunger Games + Taylor was probably my dream combo at 11 so unsurprisingly I was obsessed with this at the time, then became re-obsessed when it was one of like 3 songs of hers on streaming during the 2014-2017 period, then realised it was one of my favourites of hers ever during COVID, and that being re-iterated with Taylor's version, which I'm so glad (and still kinda shook) we got and somehow manages to keep everything perfect about the original!

6. Mine (Speak Now) - And what used to be my fave Taylor song has now slipped out of my top 5! :o I think part of it is due to how much this resonated with me when I was 13, and as much as I still absolutely love this song I just don't listen to it too regularly anymore (same with the majority of Speak Now, which was my fave Tay album but nowadays its just top 5 which feels weird). Anyway, Mine still remains an underrated gem and a masterpiece, and the production progression throughout the song is so so good. That bridge is still iconic, and ugh I love this song as I've spoken about many times on this site before and many times more eloquently than this!

Top 5 later! And these 4 albums all have one track to go to make up 4 of the top 5! (counting S&S as a Red track now x). 3 lead singles vs. the big 2 album tracks.

So many smashes :cheeseblock: Out of the Woods, Anti-Hero, Wildest Dreams and Cruel Summer were bound to be here but rightly so, 4 of my absolute favourites of hers too. Red, DBM & champagne problems are great picks too and definitely towards the top of my rankings from their albums <3

epiphany and Safe & Sound wouldn’t quite be in my top 10 BUT i’m not complaining bc they are 100% two of her most underrated songs and I’m so glad to see some love for them! Delicate is honestly one of her most overrated songs for me but I'm not surprised to see it so high because it seems to be universally loved by everyone else

Intrigued to see your Top 5, thinking either cardigan or ATW for the win?
