And I was really hoping to see Utopia through from the other semi, shame that one fell out 3
March 26, 20232 yr Freedonia needs a qualifying song fast or they will be off yet again... Would just like to discourage this kind of mentality x if Singerpurear can DNQ 13 times in a row and not give up then anyone can put up with at least a couple of DNQs in a row. I'd like to think most people's participation wouldn't be this (directly) dependent on qualifying / doing well. It's about sharing and discovering music, the competition aspect is not the be all end all x
March 26, 20232 yr Excluding BJSC 100 which had the 18 points system in the semis and BJSC 5 which had a weird single semi-final with 12 songs, the highest score for a DNQ to date is 67 - but with the caveat that was a song coming 16th in a semi with 15 qualifiers. I think 60 might be a new record for a semi-final with 20 qualifiers (I see one that got 59 before but my stats are still quite out of date). Sucks that it happened to such a great song. </3 And oof at Dobago coming last in a contest that was otherwise very friendly to the retro entries...!
