Wish I had the intel you obviously have and knew what Taylor's label wants and thinks

or have direct access to Taylor's brain as you clearly have

but with just very little effort releasing some CD singles she could have both big album sales + #1 singles

You have basically just said what I said

If Taylor/her label are not exploiting her fanbase with cd singles it is because they don't care evidently.

but Miley has not even promoted in her own market either lol

That is a strange one!

The irony is strong in this post!

Wow this is really rude/defensive for no reason? I was only sharing a thought - I'm sorry for people if this is how you talk to them in real life.

Miley does care about the US charts though because she has the original and demo version of Flowers on her album, and has 4 versions of the song for 69c on her webstore - original, alternative cover, instrumental and demo. she also asked her fans to use River in Tik Tok videos . You will find that a lot of north american artists topping the BB Hot 100 have added many remixes/versions to their webstore with discounts, or have special editions, so fans rush to buy before end of tracking week

That's actually a whole new level of desperation  imagine what people on here would say if Ed did that?

Taylor/her label are only bothered about album sales in the UK and she milks those multi formats to death when it comes to the album chart.

Miley doesn't have seemingly a big fanbase in the UK, at least not one that is worth trying to exploit.

I always thought Miley’s UK fanbase was a lot better than most places. Nothing Breaks Like a Heart, Malibu, Midnight Sky, Prisoner etc all did far better here than in the US.

You have basically just said what I said

I don't know with this one LH already peaked at number 3 and by the time Christmas had come and gone and she finally pushed it as a post album single she she was probably deep into her tour rehearsal to sign 30k cds like Ed

Although if she promoted ATGYLB on socials a little she may of done enough to go top 10 last week, she literally just threw it out and it was enough to debut at 11

It actually is.. for the past 5 years Miley has secured multiple top 10 hits in the UK at least 4 in the past 4 years when she couldn't secure even one in the states... I still think the UK/Australia are Miley's biggest market at least singles wise they support her a lot in those markets... and her album was #1 in the UK/Australia when it dropped.

Can anyone find Lana's opening sales in the UK for her other albums?

Thanks!

It would have been nice for this to have topped UV, but at least it should do more than Chemtrails which feels like one of her less notable albums.

So assuming Ed gets to #1 on Friday, I think that means he will have been at #1 in 7 consecutive calendar years, matching the record of Elvis Presley, The Beatles and Rihanna.
