Biography

With raw rhymes, traffic-stopping vocals, and inimitable energy, Coi Leray carves out a lane of her own as a dynamic, dangerous, and different kind of pop star. The New Jersey-born and Los Angeles-based rapper, singer, and all-around firebrand first sunk her claws into the culture with the 2018 independent breakout mixtape, Everythingcoz. In its wake, she unleashed the acclaimed sequel EC2 [2019] and Now Or Never EP [2020] and racked up a total of 124 million cumulative streams and counting. Beyond collaborating with everyone from Gunna and Fetty Wap to Kiana Lede, she appeared on the blockbuster Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse Soundtrack. Along the way, she also graced the cover of KAZI and garnered plugs and praise from HYPEBAE, Essence, BET, Pitchfork, REVOLT, Def Pen, PAPER, and Cosmopolitan who put it best, “The girl has got pipes y’all!” She ignited 2021 with her biggest and boldest banger to date the chantable “No More Parties.” Only a clip shook Tik Tok with over 1 billion views and over 1 million video creates, setting the stage for the song to take off. Most importantly, it bulldozed the path for her next full-length project in 2021. Coi’s traveling her own lane at high speed and simply leaving the competition in the dust. - Spotify

Nice for FLO managing a top 40 debut. Its peak being exactly half that of 'Cardboard Box' at the moment too :magic: (also wow 10 years since Missy Elliott's last top 40 hit, and 17 years and counting since her last top 40 that wasn't a feature on a girlgroup single )

'Here' now matching the peak of 'All These Nights' 👀

Not heard the Bakar song yet but I liked his (non-charting unfortunately) collab with Aitch, mainly for his part, so interested to hear a hit of his own.

Ew at Caity climbing again can we not

bring on the "What Is Love" remake already Guetta

Alternatively: no

Ranging from the tender and heartbreaking to the sublimely aggressive and vengeful. Her ethereal sound takes influences from dark pop, folk, and indie genres; creating a magical discography that evokes something primal and innately feminine. London-based artist has already found streaming success and a dedicated fanbase through her previous releases. Her original single ‘the fruits’ has garnered over 4 million streams to date, along with covers of Hozier (who shared her version of ‘Tell It To My Heart’ to his followers) and Rainbow Kitten Surprise delighting TikTok and DSP fans. - Nettwerk

Howard Jones - yes. Haddaway - no.

Paris Paloma is such a weird name like mixing Paris Hilton + Paloma Faith
Yet another new female singer breaking through this year. This is very interesting sonically.
"Labour" was surprisingly good when I listened to it during the week given I'm not usually fond of songs that enter high from pre-release TikTok hype. Pulling the same trick as "Bruno" at the end too.
